Speaking after her exit, Carol said: "I’ve loved it and I’m going to say, I’m gutted! Everybody is amazing. I’m gutted because it’s the best fun ever." Taking to Instagram on Saturday after the show aired, Carol shared a clip of her standing in front of the TV with a box over her head.
In the background, the episode of The Masked Singer was on the screen and Carol reenacted her unmasking as she removed the masked from her head. During Saturday's episode Tattoo, Teeth, Kingfisher, Dressed Crab, and Snail all took to the stage, dropping more hints about their identities.
Dressed Crab performed Drift Away by Dobie Gray, while Tattoo sang Proud Mary by Tina Turner. The judges - Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama and Mo Gilligan - then chose to save Dressed Crab, meaning Tattoo’s time on the show had come to an end.
Carol is best known as the lead vocalist of the pop band T'Pau, which had international success in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
