Matty Healy Has Cheeky Response To Reports He's Written A Song About Taylor Swift
The 1975 frontman and Swift reportedly dated for about a month in 2023, though they never publicly confirmed a relationship.
Matty Healy has addressed a claim that he’s written a song inspired by his brief relationship with fellow singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.
Over the weekend, the U.K.-based outlet The Sun reported that Healy, who is the frontman for the pop-rock band The 1975, recently recorded a song titled “God Has Entered My Body,” with lyrics that reference his past romance with Swift.

According to the report, the song will be the title track of The 1975’s next album and features the lyric, “Keep your head up, princess, your tiara is falling.” Corroborating the claim is a “music insider,” who told the outlet, “Matty will never publicly comment on his relationships, but he lets his deepest feelings out in his songs and gets everything off his chest.”
On Sunday, Healy ― who goes by the name “Truman Black” on social media ― responded to a Reddit thread that referenced The Sun’s article.
“Huge if true,” he quipped.
Swift and Healy spotted leaving New York City's Electric Lady recording studio in 2023. Recently, The 1975 frontman addressed a report that he had written a song about the pop star for a new album.

As for the lyrics referenced in The Sun’s article, they previously appeared in the caption of one of Healy’s Instagram posts from 2021.
Healy and Swift were first romantically linked in May 2023. Although they were photographed together by paparazzi on numerous occasions, the pair never publicly confirmed a relationship.
At the time, news of the romance drew controversy given Healy’s history of problematic comments about women and people of color, for which he later apologized.

By June of that year, though, Swift and Healy’s relationship appeared to have run its course. Shortly after, Swift began dating her current boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce.
After the release of Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” last year, fans and media outlets quickly singled out a number of songs ― including “But Daddy I Love Him,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and the title track ― that feature lyrics believed to be allusions to Healy.

Aside from a few off-the-cuff remarks, Healy has stayed tight-lipped about the split. He also moved on to a relationship with model and chef Gabbriette Bechtel, to whom he became engaged last year.
