Meghan Markle Gave Billie Eilish a Video Shoutout for Helping a Teen Fan After the LA Fires
Meghan Markle shared a video on February 4 thanking Billie Eilish for helping her surprise a 15-year-old fan who'd lost everything in the California wildfires. Watch her heartfelt message, here.
Weeks after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped up to help victims of the Los Angeles fires, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that she was able to pull off a surprise for one of the impacted families she met in Altadena–with the help of Billie Eilish. In an Instagram video shared on Tuesday, February 4, Markle thanked the “Birds of a Feather” singer as she revealed that Eilish helped make a dream come true for a young fan who’d lost everything in the fires.
In her Instagram Reel, the Suits alum appeared to be makeup-free as she told viewers that she’d received a very special package at her home in Montecito, California. Wearing a black crewneck hoodie, jeans, her gold Cartier watch, and her recently-redesigned three-stone diamond engagement ring, a visibly excited Markle panned to a surprise package she’d just gotten in the mail: A pile of Billie Eilish T-shirts.

Markle explained that while she and Prince Harry were volunteering in Altadena a few weeks back, they had met a mom and her 15-year-old daughter whose home had burned down as a result of the historic blaze. The pair had returned to their home to see if they could savage the teen’s most prized possession: A Billie Eilish t-shirt, which she’d left in the dryer or washing machine. Unfortunately, everything in their home was incinerated, but Markle said she was determined to help the fan replace her merch. She made a voice note for Eilish and asked her community to help her get a hold of the “Lovely” singer.

Gesturing towards the stack of autographed t-shirts and a lunchbox, Markle joked that she felt “old” as she explained, “I don’t know what this stuff means, but it’s signed for her.”
The royal then directly thanked Eilish for her help, revealing that it was Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo who helped her get a hold of the singer.

“Huge thank you, Billie Eilish, this is going to mean so much to her, and honestly, to Adam Levine and Behati, you guys helped me get this over the line, and to everyone who is showing up for people in big and small ways to get through what's happened in California, just thank you so much,” Markle continued, adding that she was “going to go and email her mom now.”
The With Love, Meghan star also called out the importance of continuing to help victims of the LA wildfires in her video caption, writing, “Let's keep supporting those affected by the California wildfires. Thanks to everyone who made this possible but most importantly, thank you to our first responders who are the community’s real heroes.”
