Meghan Markle isnât just teaching viewers about cooking, gardening, and entertaining on her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, is using her return to the small screen as an opportunity to teach her and Prince Harryâs daughter, Princess Lilibet.Â
In a People interview ahead of the showâs March 4 premiere, Meghan shared how special it is for her to be able to teach her and the Duke of Sussexâs 3-year-old daughter, Lili, about being a âworking mom.âÂ
âBeing able to have my own little girl, as Iâve spent so much of my life championing the rights of girls and women, and to be able to see this as a multigenerational story. â[My son Prince] Archie is, of course, included in that. My husband is, of course, included in that,â Meghan said.Â
âBut I love the heritage feeling of it and knowing this is something that I can create in front of my daughter and teach her what itâs like to be a working mom,â she said of Lili. âThis is something that hopefully can be part of her legacy too.âÂ
Harry and Meghan welcomed Archie, 5, in May 2019 when they were still working royals in England. Lili, who is named after the late Queen Elizabeth II, joined the family in June 2021 after the Sussex familyâs 2020 relocation to California.   Â

Elsewhere in the interview, Meghan shared how she included her two kids in With Love, Meghan in subtle ways. âArchie did the [filming clapboard]! Sweet moments,â Meghan said. âThey would also come with my husband and visit me on-set.âÂ
The series, which is part of Harry and Meghanâs Netflix deal, wasnât filmed at their Montecito home. Filming took place at a nearby mansion, wrapping in the summer of 2024.Â
âI loved that my children were able to watch me working and see the balance of that and understand what Mama does and is working to create and share,â Meghan went on. âIt was really special because up until then, they hadnât seen me at work.âÂ
âI hope that when they get old enough,â the Suits alum added, âthey feel really proud that they were part of the beginning of this with me.â
A crew member was also quoted as describing Meghan as âsuper attentive and dotingâ on Archie and Lili whenever they visited the set. The Sussex kids were even given headphones to listen during filming.
With Love, Meghan isnât the only family affair for Meghan and the Sussex family. So is her new lifestyle brand, As Ever. When she unveiled the rebranded business (RIP American Riviera Orchard) and its accompanying website, Lili was front and center.Â
She appeared in a photo on the As Ever siteâs homepage. In it, Lili held hands with Meghan as they walked through the grounds of the familyâs Montecito home.Â
With Love, Meghan is now streaming on Netflix.Â
