Meghan Markle and her daughter, Princess Lilibet, enjoyed a sweet-as-candy girlsâ day with Serena Williams.
âWhen the aunties come to celebrate ⌠and play!â Meghan, 43, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, March 1. âLove you @serenawilliams.â
In the upload, Williams, also 43, dressed casually in a burgundy dress as she played a round of Candy Land with Meghanâs 3-year-old daughter. Lili, for her part, also got the pink memo and sported a pastel T-shirt with coordinating leggings. She wore her strawberry blonde hair down past her shoulders. (In addition to Lili, Meghan shares 5-year-old son Prince Archie with her husband, Prince Harry.)
Meghan, who set her Saturday post to Bill Withersâ âLovely Day,â also posted a second image from the special playdate. In the snap, she gleefully watched Liliâs turn playing the Hasbro board game.

A final post on Saturday showcased Meghan and the tennis champ sharing a sweet hug for the camera.

âWe hit it off immediately, taking pictures, laughing through the flag football game we were both playing in, and chatting not about tennis or acting, but about all the good old fashioned girly stuff,â Meghan once wrote on her now-defunct Tig blog. âSo began our friendship.â
The Duchess of Sussex added, âShe quickly became a confidante I would text when I was traveling, the friend I would rally around for her tennis matches, and the down-to-earth chick I was able to grab lunch with just a couple weeks ago in Toronto. We are both the same age, have a penchant for hot sauces and adore fashion, but what connects us more than those things is perhaps our belief in exceeding expectations â our endless ambition.â
