The wait is almost over for Meghan Markleâs fans as her new lifestyle show is set to debut on Netflix after a nearly two-month delay. The duchessâs eight-part docuseries With Love, Meghan was initially supposed to premiere on Jan. 15, but was pushed back amid the devastation from the California wildfires. Itâs set to drop on the streaming platform on March 4.
And now someone who used to work for the royal family is throwing their two cents in about why they think Prince Harryâs wife is going to struggle in the lifestyle space and wonât be anything like the Queen Martha Stewart.
Paul Burrell began working in the royal household when he was 18 years old and served as Queen Elizabeth IIâs personal footman. In 1987, he was moved to Charles and Dianaâs household. When they separated Burrell remained on staff and served as Dianaâs butler, looking after her and her sons until the princessâs tragic death in 1997.

Speaking on behalf of Prime Casino Burrell said: âThis Netflix show, which will be aired now in March ⌠Itâs the Meghan Show ⌠I think sheâll be judged by that, but letâs not forget, sheâs an actress. She can act in this role, she can fall back on those acting skills.â
However, the former royal butler cautioned that while Meghan has the âacting skillsâ to get through the eight-part docuseries looking like the hostess with the mostest, he doesnât believe she has the actual âlifestyle skillsâ to be the next Martha Stewart.
He opined: âI doubt very much sheâll become a new Martha Stewart because she doesnât have the lifestyle skills unless thereâs somebody behind her, feeding her the lines as an actress would expect.â

Burrell gave another reason he doesnât think Meghan can succeed in the lifestyle space pointing out: âThis is a tough area to compete in, in America, because America is filled with the best hosts you can possibly have.â
He added: âWhether sheâs good enough or not, the public will judge her. Weâre waiting to see what sheâs got and whether she can pull it out of the bag. People may warm to her. However, the royals are on a safe ship in calm waters, whereas Harry and Meghan have been in choppy seas for quite some time and you canât actually continue that. You canât. Something has to give.
âIâm eager to watch it and to see what sheâs going to produce. Iâm not so sure I want to buy her jam, but I think itâs going to be interesting to watch. Meghan will have to reveal her hand in this game of poker because Harryâs already revealed his. We havenât yet seen Meghanâs.â
