Meghan Markleâs latest Netflix show sees her invite the world into her home and garden to learn her best lifestyle tips - or does she?
It turns out the former royal didnât use her actual home for the show, instead setting up the cameras in a rental nearby.
While many fans may be disappointed to learn weâre not actually seeing the Sussexesâ LA mansion, her reasoning is actually very sweet and justified - and itâs a very common filming practice used by celebs filming at-home style shows.
Speaking in an interview with PEOPLE to mark the launch of the show, she said: âI wanted to protect that safe haven. Weâre a close-knit family, and I love those moments - putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day.
Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, thatâs a lot of people to have in your house!â
However the article states that Meghan picked a house with a similar style to her own, so we do get a bit of an idea of what their house is like.
Meghan is far from the first celeb to opt to use an alternative property while filming. Gogglebox has previously had to admit using fake homes for the celebrity version of the show, again citing security reasons as the excuse.
Viewers became suspicious when billionaire Peter Jones and his Dragons' Den co-star Deborah Meaden were shown watching TV in a semi-detached house, reports Hello! Magazine.
Probably the most famous celebs to let fans inside their homes are the Kardashians, but even that isnât quite as it seems. While the reality TV stars film the internal shot in their own homes, the exterior shots are other properties.
