Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, has been slammed by most critics but the divisive Duchess of Sussex still has her fair share of fans.
In fact, plenty of subscribers to the platform are already demanding the service to confirm a second season.
The eight-part reality series follows Meghan, the former Suits star and wife of Prince Harry, as she invites various special guests into her home to trade lifestyle tips and tricks.
Her famous pals include actress and writer Mindy Kaling, celebrity chef Roy Choi and her old Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.
Despite the series’ inviting tone, reviews so far have been scathing, with Anita Singh for the Telegraph branding it "an exercise in narcissism".
However, swarms of Meghan’s fans have come to her defence, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to shower her latest Netflix project with praise.
One defender wrote: “I love how Meghan loves to learn new food recipes and engages with the chef about it, I need to see her do more of this (GIVE ME SEASON 2).”
By the end of the series, the same viewer was pleading: “IT ENDED, NETFLIX PLEASE GIVE ME SEASON 2 IM BEGGING PLEASE #WithLoveMeghan.”
“Not me wanting to try everything Meghan is doing/cooking in her new show omg I’m obsessed #WithLoveMeghan,” someone else wrote.
Another posted: “The new Meghan Markle show is adorable, she is so precious.”
A fourth said: “Meghan’s show is so laid back and FUN! Episode 1 and I am hooked!”
Someone else wrote: “Meghan was so involved and so [comfortable in] the kitchen. You can know that she knows her way around the kitchen.
“Every episode had something to offer. I can never not root for this gal!!! She deserves every bit of love and happiness. I hope they do a season 2!!”
And a final defender wrote: “Thoroughly enjoyed that! It makes me so happy that Meghan is indeed surrounded by incredible, strong women who are her support system.
“She’s at peace, she’s in a good place & I love this for her!
“I can definitely see a season 2 in different locations, cooking different cultural cuisines & learning more about what the dishes represent & the stories of those who create them.”
So far, neither Netflix or the Duchess of Sussex have confirmed if the series will return for a second season.
With Love, Meghan is available to stream on Netflix.
