It’s only been a few days, but Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s 2025 Invictus Games schedule has already been a flurry of sweet PDA-packed exchanges, fierce competition, and royal-worthy style moments. The Duchess of Sussex brought her signature quiet luxury California aesthetic to Canada, stepping out in a silk espresso sheath dress and winter white sets for her first few appearances. And as Markle headed into “a very important meeting” over the weekend, the Suits alum leaned into a monochromatic style moment as she showed off an olive green skirt set paired with matching heels.
The lifestyle entrepreneur relied on her effortless post-working royal outfit formula as she made a chic appearance at a “story time” event for kids of the competitors amid the Invictus Games. In some behind-the-scenes footage from the gathering shared on her Instagram Story on February 9, Markle could be seen walking with Prince Harry from behind towards the family-friendly event.

Wearing her dark hair up in a ponytail with face-framing pieces, the royal opted for complementary earth-toned pieces with an elegant camel peacoat paired with olive green suede pumps. However, once she was inside and chatting with kids, Markle removed her outerwear to reveal she was wearing olive green from head to toe, thanks to an equally elegant olive green crewneck sweater with asymmetrical black button detailing on the left shoulder. She paired the classic piece with a matching midi-length knit skirt, and simply accessorized with stud earrings, stacks of gold bracelets, and a glowing glam look.

Markle’s monochromatic outfit was designed by Santa Barbara-based DÔEN, which is run by two sisters and an all-female collective of designers. The Duchess of Sussex’s decision to highlight the coastal California-inspired designer was significant amid Markle’s efforts to support those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. The American Riviera Orchard founder, who tends to gravitate towards designs by female-run brands, previously opened up about how royal life made her aware of the power of her style choices.

“That’s one of the most powerful things that I’m able to do, and that’s simply wearing, like, an earring,” Markle previously told The New York Times. “Times where I know there is a global spotlight, and attention will be given to each detail of what I may or may not be wearing, then I support designers that I have really great friendships with, and smaller, up-and-coming brands that haven’t gotten the attention that they should be getting.”
