JAKE ROSENBERG/NETFLIXItâs been a long time coming, but Meghan Markle has unveiled the first products for sale from her much-anticipated lifestyle business, As Ever. The launch on 4 March coincided with the release of the Duchess of Sussexâs new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, and offers many of the items featured in the show, with crêpe mix, flower sprinkles, and â yes â jam all going on sale in Spring 2025.
The key offering from the business, which is partnered with Netflix, is raspberry spread in a âkeepsake packagingâ bearing the As Ever logo. The businessâs branding was updated just this month, with the brand name changing from American Riviera Orchard and the unveiling of a new symbol: two hummingbirds underneath a palm tree, thought to symbolise Meghanâs enduring love with Prince Harry.

Raspberry jam has become synonymous with the Duchessâs lifestyle business endeavour. Back in April 2024, when Meghan first announced the brand Formerly Known As American Riviera Orchard, she sent out hampers bearing pots of jam to her closest friends, including Kris Jenner and Mindy Kaling.

Wildflower honey, which Meghan could be seen getting ready to harvest in the trailer for With Love, Meghan, donning a beekeeping suit and following in the apiary footsteps of King Charles and Catherine, the Princess of Wales. Three separate herbal teas are on offer â hibiscus, peppermint, and lemon ginger â and fans can also get their hands on shortbread cookies.
The new website comes with a mission statement for the business, reading: âAs Ever is more than a brand â itâs a love language. Created by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, As Ever welcomes you to a collection of products, each inspired by her long-lasting love of cooking, entertaining, and hostessing with ease. âThis curated collection has been crafted to elevate your every day and inspire moments of joy.â
The products are not yet for sale. Currently, clicking on any of the links results in a pop-up reminding would-be shoppers to âsave your seat at the tableâ by subscribing to a mailing list ahead of the Spring 2025 release. It is, however, a sign that Meghanâs business is finally up and running, following a year of delays and rebranding.

From her Montecito garden, Meghan Markle knowingly acknowledged that âthere has been a lot of curiosityâ about the launch of her company, explaining her reason for changing its name: âLast year, I had thought, you know what? American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name. Itâs my neighbourhood, itâs a nickname for Santa Barbara, but it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area.â No reference was made, however, to the fact that she had failed to have a trademark approved for the name.
Till this launch, it seemed as though As Ever may have hit a similar roadblock. The same name has been used for years by a New York-based clothing brand, run by Mark Kolski and his family. Kolski told the US Sun that he doesn't own the trademark to the name but that he would be âexploring all possibilitiesâ to protect his brand.
Nor was he the only person to have used the name before: in 2023, Meghan received a âpartial rejectionâ of her trademark application due to similarities with the Chinese fast-fashion brand, ASEVER.
âThe marks are identical in sound and virtually identical in appearance and are thus confusingly similar for the purposes of determining likelihood of confusion,â said the US Patent and Trademark Office. The conclusion was that Meghan could not sell clothing under the brand name As Ever; six months later, Meghan's lawyers filed a revised application which removed any mention of clothes, and her trademark application was approved. As an LA lawer told MailOnline, âif she sells clothing under the As Ever brand she risks being suedâ.

COURTESY OF NETFLIXMeghan's choice of logo for As Ever is also coming under fire, with the Spanish village of Porreres in Mallorca complaining it bears a remarkable similarity to their own. Civic officials are claiming Meghan must have copied the town's coat of arms, which dates back to 1370, and are threatening legal action against the Duchess. Mayor Francisca Mora told local newspaper Ara Balears that the likeness is âsurrealâ and told The Sun: âWe donât want our coat of arms to be perverted because it belongs exclusively to Porreres.â
No such qualms with flower sprinkles, however. While both As Ever and With Love, Meghan are intrinsically linked, sources speaking to Page Six claimed that âAs Ever lifestyle products wonât be ready for sale until a few months after the show's launch,â which chimes with the Spring deadline.
A celebratory day, then, for Meghan Markle, who spent yesterday surprising a gathered crowd of followers who supported her previous lifestyle blog, The Tig, which she ran between 2014 and 2017. The guests were invited to a screening of With Love, Meghan and revealed to the Duchess that they had inked themselves with tattoos of âAs Everâ in Meghanâs handwriting.
A clear sign of the dedication that the Duchess inspires in her followers, all of whom will no doubt be thrilled to get their hands on some of the most famous jam in royal history.
