Meghan Markle was quizzed on the 'hierarchy' of her American Riviera Orchard jam during a fun moment on her new Netflix show.
On the second episode of With Love, Meghan, the duchess invited actress and producer Mindy Kaling to prepare a children's party. As they make the food using some of Meghan's handmade preserve, Mindy says: "When I received that in the mail, a box of your preserves, it was probably one of the most glamorous moments of my life."
But she goes on to admit she found herself thinking quite a lot about the number jar she was sent. The jam jars were numbered one to 50, so Mindy jokingly asked if this meant she was ranked with Meghan's other pals.

JUSTIN COIT/NETFLIX)She cheekily reveals: "I looked at the label and it said there were like 50. And I of course, as a very hierarchical person was like who are these other 50? Does having a lower number make me more special, or does having a higher number make me more special?"
Meghan closes her eyes before saying: "Oh my God." Mindy then jokingly asks if she was ranked, to which Meghan laughs and replies: "I did not think about it. It was not a ranking, it was just let me share them. And then people started to take it very personally."
Mandy then jokes: "People like me." She admits she immediately went on Instagram to see who else got one - zooming in on the numbers to check what other people got. Meghan says: "Anyone who got 50 jars that I was making on my stove in my actual kitchen at my house, I hope they all felt like âno, I want to share this with you'".
However Meghan does reveal she saved the number one jar for her mum, Doria, as it âfelt like the right thing to doâ.Mindy describes it as âextremely goodâ and said lots of people asked to taste it. âYou know what I told them? Get your own jarâ, she jokingly adds.
Meghanâs show is set in a luxurious home, but it turns out itâs not actually where she lives. Sheâs admitted that she opted to rent a property near their US mansion, rather than filming in the home she shares with Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
She explained her decision in an interview with PEOPLE magazine. She said: âI wanted to protect that safe haven. Weâre a close-knit family, and I love those moments - putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day. Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, thatâs a lot of people to have in your house!â
However the article states that Meghan picked a house with a similar style to her own, so we do get a bit of an idea of what their house is like.
