Michelle Keegan makes stance clear on move to Australia after filming Ten Pound Poms
The actress recently revealed she is expecting her first child with husband Mark Wright
Ten Pound Poms actress Michelle Keegan has opened up about the possibility of moving to Australia after filming for the BBC series.
Series two of the BBC series is set to return to screens soon and follows a group of Brits escaping post-war Britain to embark on a life-changing adventure on the other side of the world.
In the latest series, after a challenging first year in Australia, nurse Kate Thorne (played by Keegan) and the Roberts family (led by Faye Marsay and Warren Brown) go into 1957 on their adventure Down Under, each determined, against all odds, to achieve their slice of the Australian dream.
As Kate, Annie and Terry settle into their new lives, they each struggle to reconcile their hopes for the life they were promised with the harsh realities they face at Galgownie.
Keegan, 37, recently spoke about filming in Australia for the series and admitted she had thought about the idea of making a permanent move there.
She told Radio Times: “I would love to live in the sun one day, I’m such a baby in the cold. Mark was out there for two and a half years, and I did go over for a few months at a time. I love the way of life.”

The admission came soon after she announced she and her 38-year-old husband Mark Wright were expecting their first child together.
The former Coronation Street and The Only Way is Essex stars have been married since 2015 and shared the news on each of their Instagram accounts.
Posting a snap of them on a beach with Keegan cradling her bump, the caption read: “2025 is going to be a special one for us…" along with a baby emoji. (sic)
It didn't take long for the couple's fans and former co-stars to excitedly share congratulatory messages, with many swooping to the comments section.
Whilst the couple have been thrilled to be extending their family, they recently went through an awful time after their mansion was targeted by masked thieves.
It was reported that the couple locked themselves in their bedroom while their home was raided by the thieves.
It was reported that a window smash was heard and an alarm sounded as the group burst into their Essex home.
Reports stated that four suspects were in the home for around a minute before they rushed out after hearing Wright yell.
The duo were understandably said to be "very shaken up" by the frightening incident, with a source telling The Sun: “It was a traumatic experience for both of them, but they are relieved that neither of them were injured.
"Mark did the sensible thing and stayed with his wife to make sure she was okay, and they waited for police to arrive before leaving the room."

An Essex Police spokesman confirmed the incident, telling The Mirror: "It was reported four suspects had forced entry to an address, carrying out a search of the property before fleeing.
"Within eight minutes, our officers were on the scene. We are continuing to support and safeguard the victims and are conducting high-visibility patrols in the area.
"We are exploring a number of lines of inquiry, including but not limited to forensic opportunities, CCTV and witness statements.
"Anyone with information should contact us as soon as possible."
