Mickey Rourke kicked off Celebrity Big Brother after 'unacceptable behaviour'
Mickey Rourke has been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house
Just days into the 2025 series of Celebrity Big Brother and Hollywood star and former boxer Mickey Rourke has been removed from the house. This is due to his "unacceptable behaviour" and after he received warnings earlier this week.
In a statement a spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother said: "Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour." This comes after viewers saw on Wednesday, April 9 Mickey received a warning from Big Brother for unacceptable language and behaviour towards a fellow housemate.
There have been further instances where Mickey has used inappropriate language. On Saturday, April 12, Mickey’s behaviour and language towards Chris Hughes during a disagreement in a task was considered to be threatening and aggressive, but no physical altercation took place. Mickey has caused quite a stir since he first set foot in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Fans of the show took to social media to call out his behaviour with host AJ Odudu and then again with the performer Jojo Siwa. In the live launch of the show, when entering the house Mickey was caught ogling AJ as she wore a skin-tight brown jumpsuit. At the time she awkwardly said, “Stop looking at me!” whilst live on air.
Mickey's also come under scrutiny for making comments about LGBTQIA+ singer and dancer Jojo Siwa. She has nominated her fellow housemate for eviction after he was warned over making “homophobic” comments about the former child star. She has decided to use her 'killer nomination', which puts one housemate up for Friday’s first eviction and described the decision as “pretty easy”.
In a previous episode the actor had previously asked if she "likes girls or boys", she responded that she likes girls, and added that her partner is non-binary. He then joked: "If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay any more." Jojo retorted: "I can guarantee I’ll still be gay and I’ll still be in a very happy relationship."
Later in the episode, he said to a fellow housemate that he would "vote the lesbian out real quick". The 21-year-old overheard the comment and said: "That’s homophobic if that was your reasoning." As a result, Big Brother told him: "Further language or behaviour of this nature could lead to you being removed from the Big Brother house." Mickey later apologised to JoJo, and told the housemates he "didn't say it out of meanness".
