Miley Cyrus Serves 'Jessica Rabbit' Hair Inspo Before Debuting Baby Bangs All in One Night for Oscars 2025 (Exclusive)
Miley Cyrus stepped out for the 2025 Oscars and Vanity Fair Oscar Party on March 2 in not one but two dramatic hairstyles. Her hairstylist Bob Recine gave PEOPLE all the details.

Miley Cyrus brought the glam for Oscars 2025.
The Grammy winner, 32, was on hand on March 2 to present an award and she walked the red carpet in a custom glittering black Alexander McQueen halter gown and lace gloves. She also bleached her eyebrows for extra dramatic effect at the awards show.
But as we've come to expect from the star, her hair was iconic, styled by Bob Recine.

Recine, who used Nexxus products to bring his vision for Cyrus' hair to life, tells PEOPLE that he was inspired by her gorgeous gown.
"I wanted to bring her sexy, chic McQueen dress to life by matching her hair to be super big, sexy and chic as well," he says.
To do that, he channeled one of the most iconic fictional characters out there.
"For tonight's look, I was inspired by fictional character Jessica Rabbit for Miley’s voluminous, marcel waves. I loved her approach to the Oscar this year as she is keeping it youthful and fun but still that high-end, classic Hollywood glam that the Oscars is," he adds.

Recine tells PEOPLE that he and the star "really collaborate" on a look — and that means "from head to toe."
"She really trusts me and it helps in being able to enhance her natural beauty while also adding in the sexy, glam twist," he says.
The hairstylist notes that he wanted to use her hair to highlight the dress, since it was a "unique" choice in that it was dark and moody rather than metallic or covered in sequins and beads.
To do that, he used his favorite Nexxus products, including Nexxus Volume Medium Hold Mousse while Cyrus' hair was wet. He then goes in with a technique that he calls a "convertible blow-dry." Using a blow-dryer, he dries the star's hair with no brushes or combs and lets the air dry her hair as if she was driving down the road in a convertible with the top down.
He then created a deep part in her hair with the mousse, sectioned out pieces, sprayed the sections with XXL Volume Medium Hold Hairspray and curled each section with a medium-barrel curling iron to create a marcel curl. The curls were refined with a round brush before Cyrus flipped her hair a little to give them body. A spritz of hairspray held everything in place and Repair & Nourish Ultra Lightweight Hair Oil provided shine.

Recine, who has worked with Cyrus for years, calls the star a "fashion-forward, edgy and fashion-educated woman," which makes their working relationship easy. It's why they've been able to dream up such fun hairstyles for so many events. (2024 Grammys, anyone?)
"She trusts me and I trust her," he gushes about the star. "We always want to create fashion-forward looks that make her feel confident, and she allows me to really go for it."
The dynamic duo continued doing just that for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party later in the night when Cyrus stepped out in another glam black gown and another bold hairstyle — this time with baby bangs! Recine slicked Cyrus' hair back into a sleek ponytail and pulled out Cyrus' bangs that had previously been hiding and trimmed them into a shorter length than they were just weeks before, really making her bleached brows pop.
