Miranda Lambert Had Some Choice Words for a Fan Who Had Opinions on Her ‘Unattractive Parts’
The country star’s been open about body image struggles in the past.
Life for Miranda Lambert is rarely dull, and that’s how she seems to like it — unless, of course, some self-appointed fashion critic decides to weigh in. On Friday, the country superstar shared snapshots from a February that included horseback rides, yoga with baby goats, and some well-earned downtime. But naturally, someone couldn’t resist chiming in with an unsolicited, body-shaming critique of her bold blue leggings.
“Yikes, legging-type pants are not attractive on people with a little extra here and there,” they wrote before adding, “You are too beautiful to display the unattractive parts. I’m not a fan of leggings on anyone, actually. I’ve seen way more of a person’s business than I wanted to,” wrapping up their comment with a casually rude camel emoji. Lovely.

While we can understand why some people might not be fans of wearing yoga pants 24/7 — whether due to personal style preferences or concerns about PFAs and microplastics often found in athletic clothing — the comment was clearly made with no intention other than to tear down a woman simply living her life. And Lambert wasted no time addressing said remark.
Instead of a long-winded rebuttal, she posted a screenshot of the comment on her Instagram Stories with a perfectly cheeky response: “Good to know! ???? I’ll do better about displaying my ‘unattractive parts.’” Short, snappy, and dripping with sarcasm — that’s how you shut down nonsense. And her fans? They had her back, filling her comments with love and calling out this follower’s clear case of “loser behavior.”

To anyone who’s followed the country superstar’s career, her calm yet cheeky response was no surprise. Lambert’s never shied away from being open about her body image struggles. Back in 2019, she admitted she’s dealt with “ups and downs” in her weight her entire life. But through all the criticism — whether it’s the industry’s glossy expectations or the occasional social media troll — the country star has stayed true to herself, whether rocking denim, glammed-out gowns, or goat-yoga-ready leggings.
This year, though, hasn’t just been about shutting down body-shamers. Miranda and her husband Brendan McLoughlin have been the subject of marriage rumors after footage surfaced of McLoughlin dancing with another woman last summer. While the couple kept their lips zipped about the drama, Lambert later hinted at the challenges in an interview, saying, “Love doesn’t always cut it. You’ve got to talk about s***,” adding that communication and compromise are key.
And it seems Lambert has been focusing on her own happiness too, revamping her style and finding confidence in changes insiders say come from self-care. Whether it’s navigating marriage rumors, setting the record straight online, or simply living her life her way, Lambert isn’t letting anyone dictate her story — or which parts of her body are allowed to be on display.
