And the 30-year-old’s lucky number came up recently from the random generator – a one in a 75,000 shot.
That won him the chance to collect either a McLaren Spider Supercar or £125,000 in cash.
And Schoeman – who also runs a whisky business with team-mate Duhan van der Merwe - decided he would take the money and immediately give it to wife, Charissa.
Called live on the show by draw host, Pete, the Scotland cult hero said: “I know that we live in the same development in Rosewell.
“So, since then we’ve bought tickets to support the draw.
“I said to Charissa, my wife, that one day we will win it.”
Schoeman was asked how long he had been playing for – and thought Pete meant rugby for Edinburgh and Scotland.
And the organiser finally tumbled as to who he was talking to on the WhatsApp video call.

And Schoeman replied: “No mate, you’re the famous one!
“I’m going to take the 125 grand and I’m going to give everything to my wife.
“Praise the Lord for this and it’s great following you guys.”
Pete then added that Schoeman “must be the best husband in the world” for handing the cash straight over to Charissa.
But the Edinburgh prop insisted: “she deserves it”, before signing off with a massive “woo-hoo!” cheer at Pete’s request.
