David Moyes will welcome his former club Manchester United to Goodison Park this afternoon, aiming to continue his dream return.
The Toffees have won four of their last five Premier League games and that has seen them rise well clear of the relegation battle.

So, Everton will be heading into this game against the Red Devils confident of a result, with Ruben Amorim’s side still enduring misery.
Amorim has only won four times in the league since his arrival and, after back-to-back losses without scoring, pressure is building on him to turn things around.
Moyes was once labelled the biggest fool in Manchester during an iconic fan rant when he was in charge of Man United.

This weekend, he’ll be aiming for his third straight home Premier League win against the Red Devils after winning his last two with West Ham.
During his first spell with Everton, he won his last home game in charge against United too, beating them 1-0 in August 2012.
So, Moyes seems to be an expert at overcoming his old side in front of his own fans and that bodes well for this clash at Goodison Park.

Man Utd have won their last two away league games against Everton, winning 2-1 in October 2022 and 3-0 in November 2023. They last won three in a row at Goodison Park in September 2007, while they last kept back-to-back clean sheets at the Toffees in August 1997. Everton have won four of their last five Premier League games (D1), more than they had in their first 20 (W3 D8 L9). This is the latest into a season they’re facing Man Utd while above them in the table since their 35th game in 2013-14 (Everton 5th, Man Utd 7th).Everton aren’t likely to make any changes to their team after beating Crystal Palace last time out.
Carlos Alcaraz has been impressive since signing in January and will start along with in-form Beto who has prospered replacing the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Abdoulaye Doucoure will return from suspension but may not come straight back in, while Orel Mangala, Dwight McNeil, Seamus Coleman and Iliman Ndiaye are out.
As for United, they will be without Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo again as both players are set to miss extended periods.
Luke Shaw remains out along with Mason Mount, Jonny Evans and Lisandro Martinez who is another long-term absentee.
The large amount of injuries means Amorim doesn’t have too much to work with and he may name an unchanged side after defeat to Tottenham.
Patrick Dorgu will continue at wing-back while Joshua Zirkzee sits in behind Rasmus Hojlund, with a host of academy products on the bench.

Only bottom side Southampton (7.9%) have a lower shot conversion rate than Manchester United in the Premier League this season, with the Red Devils’ 8.4% their lowest in a single campaign since 2004-05 (8.2%).United legend Rio Ferdinand is worried that his old club could be relegated.

“I’ve got the fixture list: Everton away, Ipswich at home, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest away.
“Before hosting Man City, and going to Newcastle away, and then Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Leicester.
“The only place I see us getting anything - and I’m not even saying a win - is Leicester.
“I’m not seeing wins. That’s the problem.”
