Na In Woo And Lee Se Young Tearfully Face A Shocking Truth In “Motel California”
MBC’s “Motel California” has shared a glimpse of a heartbreaking moment from its next episode!
Based on Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 novel “Home, Bitter Home,” “Motel California” is a romance drama about a woman named Ji Kang Hee (Lee Se Young), who was born and raised in a rural motel called Motel California. After escaping her hometown, she returns home after 12 years and winds up reconnecting with her first love and childhood friend Cheon Yeon Soo (Na In Woo).
Spoilers
On the previous episode of “Motel California,” Ji Kang Hee and Cheon Yeon Soo’s love for one another grew stronger as they began to correct the misunderstandings that surrounded them. However, they were surprised and troubled when Kang Hee’s father opposed their relationship—and they decided to go on a nighttime drive to Seoul to get some fresh air. On the way, Kang Hee hallucinated a vision of a car accident involving her mother before losing consciousness, and the episode ended with a worried Yeon Soo rushing her to the emergency room.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, the sweet, blissful vibe that Kang Hee and Yeon Soo exuded in the previous episode is nowhere to be found. Instead, both of them have tears in their eyes as they gaze sadly at one another, and Yeon Soo looks crushed by both sorrow and shock.
The visible pain in both characters’ eyes raises the question of what could have happened to the couple—and where this unhappy late-night conversation will lead them.
“In Episode 10, the full story behind Kang Hee’s shocking car-accident hallucination will be revealed, leading to a huge whirlwind in not only Kang Hee and Yeon Soo’s relationship but also the entire plot,” teased the drama’s production team. “Please give lots of interest to ‘Motel California,’ which is racing towards its climax.”
The next episode of “Motel California” will air on February 8 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
