Netflix The Recruit star Noah Centineo's life off-screen
Netflix's The Recruit season two is finally here and sees Noah Centineo reprise his role as Owen Hendricks.
Netflix's spy thriller The Recruit, starring Noah Centineo as Owen Hendricks, is finally returning. The series first captivated audiences in 2022, earning an impressive 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Centineo portrays a fresh-faced CIA lawyer who joins the intelligence agency straight out of law school. Fans will recall the shocking conclusion of season one when Owen discovered that Max Meladze's (Laura Haddock) long-lost daughter was still alive.
The second series picks up from the cliff-hanger ending over two years ago, with the protagonist embarking on a new mission to South Korea. As Netflix subscribers tune into the second season, here's everything you need to know about the 28-year-old leading actor.

Born in Miami in May 1996, Centineo entered the industry at the tender age of eight, thanks to his sister. The Netflix star credits his desire to act to his sibling Taylor.
According to Centineo, his sister wanted to be a model and 'dragged' him along to her open-call audition, reports the Mirror.
A few years after his first audition, the budding star scored a minor role on Disney Channel's Austin and Ally.
Centineo was initially cast for a small one-liner but quickly became a recurring character on the show, acting alongside Laura Marano.
His journey with Disney continued as he featured in hit shows like Shake It Up and Jessie. In 2014, Centineo won over hearts playing a love interest in the Disney film How to Build A Better Boy, which saw him star with China Anne McClain and Kelli Berglund.
But it was his 2015 role in ABC's The Fosters that marked a turning point in his acting career. The family drama already had a dedicated fan base when Centineo filled the shoes previously worn by former Disney sensation Jake T. Austin from the third season onwards.
After The Fosters, the talented actor took the lead in Netflix’s hit rom-com To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. The film adaptation of Jenny Han's bestselling novel series showcased Centineo as the irresistible jock, catapulting him to new heights of fame.
Reflecting on his rise, Centineo spoke about the impact the movie had, saying: "Suddenly, people knew my name.
"Suddenly, I had opportunities that I'd never had before," he shared with The Hollywood Reporter in 2023.
Reflecting on his rise to fame, the actor shared: "It was overwhelming for like 20 minutes, and then I was like, 'Alright, I can deal with this. This is good."

On his sobriety journey, having started in the entertainment industry at a young age, Centineo has been candid about his past struggles with substance abuse from 17 to 21 years old. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, he admitted to trying "Everything". He elaborated: "There wasn't really much I wouldn't do. I never, ever injected anything, which is good. I smoked a lot of things.
"I was really upset, man. It was a really dark time in my life." He had already achieved a year of sobriety before turning 21, a decision spurred by introspective conversations with friends while under the influence.
"There's a lot that I don't do anymore... But when I have to work, I cut out everything," he later told Variety, acknowledging that he isn't completely sober as he still drinks alcohol.
In his dating life, Centineo set tongues wagging in June 2020 with potential romantic links to Anastasia (Stassie) Karanikolaou, a close friend of Kylie Jenner, after leaving a flirty comment on one of Stassie's Instagram posts, fuelling speculation among fans about a budding romance.
They were later seen hand in hand around Halloween of the same year and are believed to have maintained a private relationship. The current status of the duo's relationship remains uncertain.
The Recruit Season 2 is on Netflix now.
