Netflix Toxic Town's Aimee Lou Wood praises co-star as 'best'
Aimee Lou Wood is starring as Tracey Taylor in the four-part Netflix series about the Corby poisonings

Aimee Lou Wood is currently starring in Netflix's Toxic Town and took to Instagram to declare that her on-screen husband and co-star Matthew Durkan as the 'best'.
The new Netflix show, filmed in Greater Manchester, is set to air soon and will shine a light on one of the UK's biggest environmental scandals in history.

Toxic Town tells the true story of the people at the heart of the Corby poisonings, which began in the 1980s and continued until 2009, focussing on the group of mothers who took the brunt of the impact.
It's a four-part series that was released on Thursday 27th February hails an incredibly talented cast including Doctor Who's Jodie Whittaker, Sex Education's Aimee Lou Wood, Bridgerton's Claudia Jessie, as well as The Full Monty and Trainspotting star Robert Carlyle.
Toxic Town will follow a group of local residents as they attempt to hold the local council to account over its failure to properly manage the redevelopment of a steelworks in the North Northamptonshire town.

It led to a group of mothers having babies with birth defects, who are at the heart of Toxic Town. These mothers worked together and confronted their townâs leadership about its alleged mismanagement of toxic waste materials.
Aimee Lou Wood, best known for playing Amy in Sex Education and more recently starring in the new series of White Lotus, took to her Instagram as she paid tribute to her on-screen husband Matthew Durkan.
The actress plays Tracey whose daughter Shelby died at four days old. The real life Tracey Taylor spoke to the BBC and shared: "I don't think the people of Corby realise just how much they have been affected by this. Hopefully they will now, and hopefully they'll see why us mothers had to stand strong and do it."

On her Instagram stories she wrote: "Best screen husband in the world" as she reposted a series of pictures that Matthew had posted onto his main grid.
In the original post, Matthew penned: "#ToxicTown is released today on @netflixuk I feel extreme privilege to be a part of this show; telling the true story of the trailblazing women who secured justice for those affected by the negligent clean up of Corby's steel works.
