Newtopia's cast includes both seasoned and emerging actors. Directed by Yoon Sung-hoon, who is best known for the 2011 film, Bleak Night, Newtopia is one of the most anticipated K-dramas of 2025. With Blackpink's Jisoo and Park Jeong-min leading the cast of Newtopia, the zombie K-drama sees the characters break up after Jeong-min’s character, Lee Jae-yoon, begins undergoing his army training. Following their breakup, Seoul becomes overrun by zombies, and Kang Young-joo goes on a quest to reunite with her ex-boyfriend.
Some of the actors in Newtopia will be recognized by fans of K-dramas for starring in popular Korean TV shows such as Hellbound, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and Snowdrop. The cast of the fantasy K-drama does an incredible job of capturing the intense moments in Yoon Sung-hoon's show. Newtopia Supporting Cast & CharactersKim Joon-Han as Aaron Park: Born in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, Kim Joon-han rose to prominence after his role as Datemas Kaisei in Anarchist from Colony. The actor and singer is best known for his work in Good Partner, Herstory, and A Man of Reason. He has also starred in Hospital Playlist, Anna, and One Spring Night.
Kang Young-Seok as Seo Jin-Wook: Kang Young-Seok, who plays Seo Jin-Wook in Newtopia, began his acting career in 2011. He has since appeared in several movies and K-dramas, such as The Kidnapping Day, Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist, and 100 Days My Prince.
Hong Seo-Hee as O Su-Jeong: Born on February 28, 1977, Hong Seo-hee has starred in several popular K-dramas. The actor is mostly recognized for her roles in Alchemy of Souls, Little Women, and My Military Valentine.
Lee Hak-Joo as Sung Tae-Sik: The South Korean actor, Lee Hak-joo, gained recognition for his role as Jung Tae-ju in the revenge K-drama, My Name. He has also had roles in The World of the Married, Mr. Sunshine, and Private Lives.
Tang Joon-Sang as Sam-soo: Born on August 13, 2003, Tang Joon-Sang is a relatively new actor. He rose to fame for his role in one of the most popular K-dramas, Crash Landing On You. He's also starred in Racket Boys and Move to Heaven.
Park Kwang-Jae as Chef Jung: Park Kwang-jae takes on the role of Chef Jung in Newtopia. He is best known for appearing in Moving, A Shop for Killers, and The Roundup. The actor also has a minor role in the Netflix original K-drama, Mr. Plankton.
Kwon Seung-Woo as Park Seong-Wook: Best known for his supporting role as Chae Shin in Vicenzo, Kwon Seung-woo has a few acting credits to his name. He has starred in Hospital Playlist and both seasons of Yumi’s Cells.
