After all, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Demi Moore, Karla Sofía Gascón and more were feeling golden after earning nominations at the 2025 Oscars Jan. 23.
Demi, who captivated audiences in the body horror film The Substance, couldn’t help but gush over her Best Actress nomination for the March 2 award show, which is set to be hosted by Conan O'Brien at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
"Being nominated for an Oscar is an incredible honor and these last few months have been beyond my wildest dreams,” the actress—who earned Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for the film at the 2024 Golden Globes—said in a Jan. 23 statement obtained by E! News. "Truly there are no words to fully express my joy and overwhelming gratitude for this recognition. Not only for me but for what this film represents. I am deeply humbled."
Demi also acknowledged the devastating wildfires that have impacted the Southern California area.

"This is a time of incredible contrasts and right now, my heart is with my friends, family, neighbors, and community here in LA," she continued. "The fires have devastated so many lives but to see the way our community has united leaves me in awe of the resilience and compassion that defines us, and this moment is a reminder of how incredible we are when we stand together.”
Karla, who is also up for Best Actress and who's made history as the first openly trans actress to be nominated for an Oscar, also reacted to the milestone, writing on Instagram, "Thank you so much @theacademy @emiliaperezfilm."

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande earned a spot in Best Supporting Actress for her role as Galinda in Wicked just months after her first Golden Globes nomination, she gushed over the monumental achievement.
"Picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition," she wrote on Instagram. "i cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise."
