Oscars viewers had been left fuming after a livestreaming showing the awards ended early.
Hulu abruptly cut their live stream of the Oscars before two of the five big awards had been given out. Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Picture were the last two awards to be given out, but viewers tuning in to watch the Oscars on streaming site Hulu were left fuming when the stream was cut. An error message read: "Thank you for watching. The live event has ended."
Angry fans watching the show fumed at Hulu for the glitches and early ending of the stream, which caused them to miss out on seeing Anora's Mikey Madison and the film missing out on their awards.
One wrote: "Does anyone know where I can go back and watch the portions of the #Oscars that @hulu completely fumbled on?" whilst another added: "Hulu you had one job #Hulu #Oscars."
A third penned: "The #Oscars are my Super Bowl. This was like missing the last play by your favourite team in a close game. Everyone and their mom knows that award shows chronically run over time EXCEPT FOR #HULU APPARENTLY." A fourth wrote: "I can't believe I missed the end of the #Oscars because @hulu _support decided the show was over. Not like that was the whole reason I stayed up on a Sunday night or anything." A fifth wrote: " @Hulu needs to put the #Oscars show back online, so people can watch the parts they missed due to #Hulu ’s #glitches and can watch the end of the #show that got cut off!!!"

Getty Images)Disney released a statement apologising for the mishap with Hulu, which it has run since 2019. In a statement, they said: "This evening, we experienced technical and live stream issues on Hulu which impacted some Oscars viewers. We apologize for the experience and will make a full replay of the event available as soon as possible."
Collecting her award, Mikey admitted her win was "very surreal". She told the stars packed into the Dolby Theater: "Wow this is very surreal. Forgive me, I'm nervous so I'm going to read off a paper. Thank you so much to the Academy. I grew up in Los Angeles but Hollywood always felt so far away from me, so to be here, standing in this room today is really incredible.
"Thank you Neon, Film Nation, universal. Thank you to my incredible family, my mom and my dad, and my sister and my little brother and my twin brother Miles, thank you for being my best friend, not that you have a choice."
She added: "I also want to recognise the thoughtful, intelligent, beautiful and breathtaking work of my fellow nominees. I'm honoured to be recognised alongside all of you, this is a dream come true and I'm probably going to wake up tomorrow. Thank you so much to Sean [Baker, director], I adore you, this is all because of you, thank you."
