The 2025 Oscars set the internet ablaze on Sunday night as there were shock wins, snubs and outfit choices on the biggest night in film.Â
Yet many of the viral moments weren't related to the wins themselves, with the guests' behaviour resulting in plenty of hilarious instant memes.Â
Host Conan O'Brien poked fun at many of the guests, including the likes of Drake and Adam Sandler - causing the latter to storm out in one shock moment.Â
Meanwhile, when the cameras weren't rolling, the star-studded audience were letting loose, getting up to dance and catching up with one another.Â
One of the funniest behind-the-scenes visuals occurred when Ariana Grande repurposed her dress' rigid skirt as a phone holder. Â
Now MailOnline takes a look at the funniest viral moments.Â
He's yet to be nominated for a Oscar in his lengthy career, yet Adam Sandler still managed to steal the show at this year's Academy Awards, becoming an instant viral moment Â
He's yet to be nominated for a Oscar in his lengthy career, yet Adam Sandler still managed to steal the show at this year's Academy Awards.Â
The actor, 58, raised eyebrows with his outfit at the swanky event, donning a hoodie and shorts as he settled into his seat among the suited and booted.  Â
He has typically never been one to dress up for most awards shows, a fact host Conan O'Brien pointed out in a humorous fashion during his speech.Â
Yet the jibe prompted Sandler to leave the ceremony while feigning mock offence, but not before giving Oscar nominee Timothee Chalamet a kiss.
After showcasing early headshots of stars like Zoe Saldana, Guy Pearce and even himself, O'Brien then mentioned how everyone was 'properly dressed,' before pausing awkwardly.
He then turned to Sandler, who was donning an aqua blue hoodie, basketball shorts and sneakers, sitting in an aisle seat at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
'Conan. What's up my brother? What's going on, man?' Sandler said, before O'Brien chided him and asked, 'Adam, what are you wearing?'
Sandler and his typically casual attire stormed out of the Oscars after becoming the butt of one of Conan O'Brien's Oscar monologue jokes
'What are you doing right now?' Sandler asked, as O'Brien repeated, 'I'm asking you what are you wearing?'
Sandler responded, 'Nobody even thought about what I was wearing until you brought it up!' as the crowd laughed.
'You're dressed like a guy playing video poker at 2 AM, Adam,' O'Brien added, as Sandler insisted, 'You know what, I like the way I look, because I'm a good person.'
'I don't care about what I wear or what I don't wear. If my snazzy gym shorts and fluffy sweatshirt offend you so much that you had to mock me in front of my peers, I'm going,' Sandler said.
O'Brien apologized as Sandler reiterated that he was leaving, adding, 'I have to,' as some in the crowd shouted, 'No' to try and get him to stay.
The funnyman insisted, 'No, it's not you, it's him,' while pointing at the Oscar host on stage, as O'Brien was caught laughing.
'You caused this!' he said to O'Brien, who tried to stifle another laugh, as Sandler gave the Oscar crowd a special invitation.
'You are all welcome to join me for a game of five-on-five basketball at Veteran Park tonight. Midnight tip-off. The guy from Nosferatu, he's on my team,' Sandler joked.
He then approached Oscar nominee Timothee Chalamet and said, 'And one more thing, CHALAMET!' while giving him a hug before leaving to applause.
'Oh my God, thank you, Adam,' O'Brien said as Sandler left, before continuing his monologue.Â
Sandler ran out of the ceremony after being teased about his casual attire but not before giving Oscar nominee Timothee Chalamet a kiss
During a commercial break, Colman Domingo - who was nominated in the Best Actor category for Sing Sing - took to the stage to encourage the audience to dance.Â
Sipping on his drink, the actor was seen swaying his hips as he shouted: 'Dance it up! We've got one more minute so let it out y'all. Come on, dance it up. Let it out.'Â
Taking to their feet, the audience obliged, showcasing their best dance moves until the cameras started rolling again and they returned to their seats to watch the show.

Ariana divided fans with her fashion choice as she attended the Oscars in a voluminous gown, but it proved to be very handy when it came to holding her accessories.Â
The songstress was spotted briefly during the broadcast when she rose to her feet next to her costar Cynthia Erivo to applaud Wicked's costume designer Paul Tazewell, who won the Oscar for his efforts on their film.
As she stood up for a standing ovation, her phone was clearly visible resting on the ripple shelf of her skirt.Â

During the ceremony's downtime, Jeff Goldblum, who plays the Wizard in Wicked, was seen displaying his phone to his wife Emilie Livingston.
But photos snapped of him from behind revealed that Goldblum was hilariously swiping through his own red carpet photos.

Fashion fans were quick to slam Timothée Chalamet on Sunday night after he made his debut at the 2025 Oscars in a butter-yellow suit.
Chalamet, who was up for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, came to the awards wearing a custom leather two-piece by Givenchy.
The suit featured loose-fitting pants and a cropped jacket, which the star paired with a matching silk button down shirt.
Instead of a tie or bowtie, Chalamet wore a gold necklace, and tied everything together with a pair of shiny black dress shoes.
However, the look wasn't one that was for everyone, as many took to X to share their thoughts on his bold look, with some even comparing him to The Man with the Yellow Hat in the Curious George series.
Others simply claimed he looked like a stick of butter.Â

During the show she caught up with Heartstopper star Kit Connor who starred in the Oscar nominated animated film The Wild Robot.Â
After he told Amelia it was his 'first time' at the glittering ceremony, Amelia quipped: 'First Oscars. You're losing your Oscars virginity!'Â
Kit laughed 'I am', as Amelia continued: 'Right here, with me right now.'Â

Oscars viewers were quick to rate the speeches during the ceremony using John Lithgowâs face.Â
During his speech, Conan OâBrien warned the winners that 'if your acceptance speech goes too long, weâll cut to John Lithgow in the audience looking, not angry, but slightly disappointed.'Â
As a result, viewers at home were quick to tweet an image of Lithgow's face when they weren't a fan of the speeches, notably when the Emilia PĂ©rez songwriter began to sing during her acceptance speech.Â

Andrew Garfield and Goldie Hawn were responsible for one of the most touching moments of the night
The two-time Oscar nominee, 41, was joined by Hawn, 79, as they presented the award for Best Animated Feature Film.
But Garfield took her by surprise when he brought her to tears as he revealed her surprise impact on his late mother.
The Social Network star, who lost his mother Lynn Garfield to cancer in 2019, thanked Goldie for giving his mother 'the most joy, the most comfort' through her long career peppered with classic film and television performances.
Hawn was visibly moved by the seemingly impromptu speech and started to cry, before she partially covered her face with the winner's envelope and tried to wipe her eyes.
Garfield, who looked stylish in a brown tux with a lustrous satin shirt, turned toward Goldie at the microphone and held her hand between his as he shared his sweet praise.
Andrew Garfield and Goldie Hawn were responsible for one of the most touching moments of the night, with Hawn brought to tears after being complimented by GarfieldÂ
'Can I tell you something?' Garfield asked mysteriously as soon as he and Hawn were ready to start their presentation.
'There's someone, there's a person who gave my mother during her life the most joy, the most comfort, and tonight, I feel very lucky, because I get to thank that person from the bottom of my heart,' he said before revealing that the person was standing right next to him.
'You've given us movies full of joy. You've lifted our spirits and you've made us feel it all was right with the world, over and over again,' he said while holding Goldie's hand.
Hawn, whose face crumpled up as she tried to hold back her tears, responded: 'Thank you so much, that really touches me.'
While many were touched by the couple's sweet moment, RuPaul's Drag Race star Katya thought the pair's chemistry would work in a different way on screen.Â
Sharing a snap of the pair, she wrote: 'Babygirl 2', in reference to the original film starring Nicole Kidman as a high-powered CEO who puts her life on the line when she begins an affair with a much younger intern (Harris Dickinson).Â

Last month, Drake found himself being mocked on the global stage when rival Kendrick Lamar performed his chart-topping diss track Not Like Us at the Super Bowl.
And the Canadian rapper was the butt of the joke yet again on Sunday when host Conan O'Brien referenced the pair's feud, noting that Drake was called a 'pedophile' in the diss track.
During the Super Bowl Kendrick censored himself at the moment he would normally have called Drake a 'pedophile,' possibly to avoid potential legal action.
'Well, we're halfway through the show,' O'Brien began innocently enough after a commercial break, 'which means it's time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile.'
The joke instantly got a cheer from one well-placed woman in the audience, as well of plenty of laughter, along with a small smattering of groans.
Conan paused for a moment before adding, 'Don't worry, I'm lawyered up.'

Halle Berry recreated one of the most iconic Oscars moments of the current century when she reunited with The Brutalist star Adrien Brody.
The 58-year-old actress, who won her Oscar in 2002 for Monster's Ball, grabbed Brody and planted a shocking kiss on his lips as soon as they came face-to-face again on the Academy Awards red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
She joked that the surprise smooch was 'payback after Brody pulled her in for a dramatic kiss at 2003 ceremony, just after he won his Academy Award for The Pianist.
'I'm sorry, Georgina, but I've gotta do it,' Berry declared to Brody's partner Georgina Chapman as she interrupted his chat with red carpet reporters.Â
Then she wrapped an arm around his neck and grabbed his shoulder with her other hand as she went in for the kiss.
The onlookers cried out in shock and cheered, and Adrien was quick to embrace Halle for the full dramatic effect.
Even though Halle took Adrian by surprise, he didn't seem too upset by it.
The Oscar nominee grinned affectionately at her after the kiss, and they embraced against for a sweet hug as Georgina clapped.Â

Also in the ceremony, Demi Moore was left crushed as Mikey Madison beat her to the coveted Best Actress award at the 2025 Oscars, on a night when Anora dominated with five wins including Best Picture.
Demi, 62, had been a clear front-runner and her fury was palpable as 25-year-old rising star Mikey's name was called out in front of a stunned audience at the 97th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Other big winners on Sunday night included Zoe Saldana, who took home the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the controversial Emilia Perez, and Adrien Brody, who triumphed over Timothée Chalamet for the Best Actor award with his performance in the The Brutalist. Kieran Culkin kicked off the evening with a Best Supporting Actor win for A Real Pain.
Demi could be seen with a clenched jaw as her name wasn't called, but she did say 'nice' to herself as she applauded Mikey's big win.
It was a particularly surprising upset because Demi had won the actress award at most of the major pre-Oscar events for her role in The Substance.
Mikey portrays an escort in Anora, an independent film with a $6 million budget for which Sean Baker won Best Director. She recognized the sex worker community in a touching acceptance speech.
