Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen struggles with 'difficult' decision in new show
Amanda Owen has been giving fans a rare glimpse into her life renovating an abandoned property with her ex-husband Clive.
Amanda Owen has candidly opened up about the 'sleepless nights' she's endured amid her challenging home renovation project.
The 50-year-old shepherdess, famed for her role in Channel 5's Our Yorkshire Farm with her former husband Clive, 69, and their brood of nine, graced television screens once more on 29th April with the second series of More4's Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids.

The reality TV programme documents the ex-couple, who parted ways in 2022 after a 22-year union, as they transform a dilapidated farmhouse into a family dwelling, enlisting the aid of their offspring Raven, 23, Reuben, 21, Miles, 18, Edith, 16, Violet, 14, Sydney, 13, Annas, 11, Clemmy, nine, and Nancy, eight.
Yet, the journey has been fraught with obstacles, particularly when tackling the significant task of roofing the neglected property.
Clive revealed the difficulties they've encountered: "There are some big heavy slates going on and so we are just helping him where we can. It's quite hard to put slates on it, it really is because there are a lot of things going on."
He elaborated on the complexities of the job: "If you're working on a roof where the slates are already there, it's a matter of taking them off and pushing them straight back on again but in this case there was nothing on it, they're all new slates but it does look lovely when it is done", reports Yorkshire Live.
In a moment of decision-making, he turned to Amanda for guidance, asking: "15 or 16 inch wide?" while indicating a slate and adding, "What we are thinking is this, but we need a decision."
Amanda was visibly stressed as she faced a tough choice, exclaiming: "Oh no. Is it up to me?" The Channel 4 celebrity then seized the moment to share her struggles: "Trying to get everything all joined up is so difficult. I never realised there was so much planning going into this."
She added: "Richard is brilliant but Richard still has questions that need answering and it's trying to keep everyone happy. It's still quite daunting and it still gives me quite a few sleepless nights."
In another part of the programme, Clive, aged 70, prepared for his second hip surgery. Amanda revealed his discomfort in managing their vast 2000-acre farm from a quad bike.
Clive admitted with resignation: "Tomorrow I've got to be in the hospital at 7:30 in the morning, got a new hip. So yeah, I wouldn't say I'm really looking forward to it, but that's what's gonna happen and so this is my last day for a little while. And then. I'll be back and I'll just have to tell them what to do and drive them all mad."
He continued, downplaying his anxiety: "Yeah, I mean, you're bound to be nervous, but no, no, I'm alright with it. I'll do exactly what they tell me and, next thing you know you wake up and it's doing. I've had one, you see, so I know the procedure, but no, like it or not, that's what's happening tomorrow."
Post-operation, Amanda couldn't help but comment that Clive was a "terrible patient" especially when he defied rest, hobbling outside on crutches to check on how his children were managing the sheep without him.
Our Farm Next Door returns continues Tuesdays at 9pm on More4.
