PSG youngster and Brentford star - Garnacho alternatives Man United could sign

Manchester United may lose attacker Alejandro Garnacho this month, leaving a gaping hole in attacking areas.
Despite not actively wanting to leave Old Trafford this month, the Argentinian winger has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with both Napoli and Chelsea keen to sign him.
Garnacho has struggled for consistent game time this season, starting 11 times in 20 appearances, scoring just three goals, missing nine âbig chancesâ in the process.
United sit 12th in the Premier League and are desperate for reinforcements, particularly in attacking areas where they have scored just 26 goals all season. The 20-year-old is likely to command a fee of around ÂŁ50million, meaning United will have some wiggle room as they look for a replacement.
As such, here are three players United could target.
Desire DoueJust last summer, Paris Saint-Germain fended off interest from a host of clubs including United to secure a deal for Rennes starlet Desire Doue, worth roughly ÂŁ46million. The Frenchman has started just five Ligue 1 fixtures this season and with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arriving to steal his place on the left wing, the teenager could be made available again.
According to FBref, the 19-year-old is averaging 6.57 progressive carries (97th percentile), 2.63 successful take-Ons (93 percentile), 0.86 interceptions (86 percentile), having an 81.7% pass completion rate (89 percentile), per 90 minutes compared to his positional peers in 2024/25 Ligue 1 this season.
When speaking to Le Parisien, French Under-17 coach Jose Alcocer said: âHe can play with his right foot and his left foot; he is able to unblock situations with a shot or a strike. He can also eliminate his opponents with the ball at his feet. His time with the pros has done him good, he has moved up a notch with his presence in the game and his impact. He has reached a new level.â
Bryan MbeumoBryan Mbeumoâs sparkling form in the Premier League is seeing him linked with several big clubs, including United. Brentfordâs main man has been their main source of goals this season, scoring 13 goals in 21 starts, contributing three assists along the way.
However, itâs rumoured the Bees would want a fee in excess of ÂŁ50million for the 25-year-old and itâs clear Thomas Frank no desire to let his key man go.
When asked is his talisman could leave the Gtech Stadium this month, Frank bluntly said: "No. So, very easy to answer that question!"
Nene DorgelesNene Dorgeles has reportedly been scouted by Manchester United all season and having started his career as a striker, heâs been predominantly used as a winger in 2024/25.
The Mali international plays for Austrian side RB Salzburg, who are renowned for identifying and developing future stars - they signed the 23-year-old in 2021 from Guidars FC.
Dorgeles has notched four goals and two assists in 12 starts this season and with Christopher Vivell's influence growing at United, this move could happen given Vivell previously worked in a senior recruitment role at RB Salzburg.
He is a versatile attacker and having struggled in his Champions League appearances this season, he has plenty of room to grow, likely costing less than any Garnacho fee would bring in.
Dorian Schuster, Transfermarktâs Austrian football expert, explained his doubts over a move to United, despite their extensive scouting of the 23-year-old.
âNene is renowned for his speed and his technique. He was usually used as a striker, but Pep Lijnders chose to play him as a winger on either side," Schuster said.
"However, he isn't even an outstanding player for Salzburg yet and far from the level required in the Premier League. So I can't imagine a move happening, let alone to Manchester United.â

On January 18, the popular variety show aired a sneak peek of its upcoming Lunar New Year special, which will feature three celebrity family duos as guests. KISS OF LIFEâs Belle and STAYCâs Sieun will appear together with their respective fathers Shim Sin and Park Nam Jung, both of whom are legendary singers in Korea. Sisters BIBI and tripleSâs NaKyoung will also be guesting on the show together.
In the newly released preview, Sieun dances with Park Nam Jung to his iconic hit âDreaming of You,â which is famous for its choreography. Meanwhile, Shim Sin sings KISS OF LIFEâs hit song âStickyâ together in a special duet with Belle.
After BIBI enviously says she wishes she were Park Nam Jungâs or Shim Sinâs daughter, she remarks that she and sister NaKyoung didnât fight much while they were growing up. However, NaKyoung swiftly begs to differ, insisting they fought a lot. Later, the two siblings playfully sing Block Bâs âNillili Mamboâ together.
The guests and âKnowing Brosâ cast members then don hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) to play a guessing game together. When Sieun argues with her dad over a story about an amusement park trip, Lee Sang Minâwho doesnât have children of his ownâwoefully shares, âI want to argue with my daughter too.â
Finally, the preview ends with a brief glimpse of Sieun and Park Nam Jung performing âA Whole New Worldâ from the âAladdinâ soundtrack together.
