“Squid Game 2” snagged a trophy at this year’s Critics Choice Awards!
On February 7 local time, the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards were held in Santa Monica, California. While the ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on January 12, it was postponed due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
“Squid Game” took home this year’s award for Best Foreign Language Series, beating out fellow nominees “Pachinko” (which won the award in 2023), “Acapulco,” “Citadel: Honey Bunny,” “La Máquina,” “The Law According to Lidia Poët,” “My Brilliant Friend,” and “Senna.”
This year marks the second time “Squid Game” has won Best Foreign Language Series: Season 1 of the show claimed the prize back in 2022, when star Lee Jung Jae also won the award for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Squid Game 2”!
