Pete Wicks makes brutal comment about Maura Higgins amidst Brits kiss fall out

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks has taken a savage swipe at ex-girlfriend Maura Higgin after their break up last month.
The Love Island legend, 34, was romantically involved with the former Towie star, 36, from last summer until mid February. Since the split, Maura has claimed that she had discovered Pete had been talking to "loads" of other women online.

Despite both of them appearing to try and make their relationship last, one reason for their break up is said to be due to a series of rows. During their relationship, Pete was put on a strict rehearsal schedule for dance show Strictly Come Dancing, while Maura jetted to Australia for ITV's I'm a Celeb.
Once the couple was reunited, fans saw the pair fall for each other quickly as they were seen on dates around London, along with reports that they were living together.

However, since the abrupt split, Pete has taken a swipe at his ex while chatting with Sam Thompson on their Staying Relevant podcast, reports the Mirror. When asked, "What would I banish in the world?" Pete brutally replied: "Erm, Love Island." Sam laughed while remarking: "That's so aggressive".
Pete followed this by saying: "It takes over everything, that's all anyone talks about for f**king three months of the year. It's very difficult to have small talk with people when that's their reference because I don't know anything about it."
Sam replied: "Let's be honest I can't imagine you hanging out with people who say, 'When's the nearest episode of Love Island?'." To which Pete added: "No but even when I walk through the office... just no."

Drama has followed Maura around this weekend as she found herself taking over the headlines after being snapped sharing a drunken kiss with McFly star Danny Jones, who she featured on I'm a Celeb with. The singer has been married to former Miss England model Georgia Horsley since 2014, with whom he shares a seven-year-old son named Cooper.
On Monday's latest episode of her podcast Mum's The Word - which she hosts with Kelsey Parker - fans tuning in noted that she did not mention her husband. This has caused rumours to fester that she might not have been pleased to see her husband sharing a smooch with a reality star.

Danny has not yet made a comment on the incident, but has been blasted by fans who have flooded the comments section of his latest Instagram post. One unhappy fan said: "Oh danny you had it all man." While another wrote: "Oh Danny, why?" alongside a broken heart emoji.
However, one person comically wrote: "Iâm here for the comments" alongside an emoji of some popcorn.
