Phillip Schofield looks glum as he takes bins out after TV flop
Former This Morning star Phillip Schofield looked down in the dumps as he took out his recycling this week.
Phillip Schofield didnât look very happy as he was snapped taking his bins out this week.
The disgraced This Morning presenter, who stepped back from his ITV duties after an âunwise but not illegalâ affair with a younger male colleague, looked downtrodden as he completed his chores.
Seen outside the barred gates of his home, Phil wore a turquoise Jack Wills sweatshirt and casual blue jeans, looking a far cry from his ITV persona in a pair of lace-up trainers.
Phil laid out red and blue recycling boxes and wheeled out his black bin, wearing a pair of reading glasses tucked into his collar and a bracelet around one wrist. Unsmiling, he was seen disappearing back into his property.
It comes after his TV return proved a flop, with his Channel 5 documentary Cast Away seeing 1.4million people tuning in.
ITVâs programming at the time overshadowed Philâs, with crime drama Joan attracting more than 2million viewers.
While on This Morning â a daytime show aired when plenty of people went away to work â Phil and Holly regularly achieved viewing figures of 1.4million, which Phil struggled to reach on his evening slot.
Phil admitted he had âlost my best friendâ when he severed ties with Holly Willoughby, admitting to the BBC: âThe last time we had a conversation was when I texted Holly and said, 'Don't reply' â this was after the statement last week â 'Don't reply, you're probably not allowed to, but I am deeply deeply sorry that I lied to you. And I am.â
But Phil subsequently took aim at Holly in Cast Away, seeming to mock her iconic âFirstly, are you okay?â This Morning moment as he sat down to a barbecue with his wife and daughters. Phil had a glint in his eye as he said: âIf youâre okay, then weâre okay and Iâm okay. Are you okay?â
