Piers Morgan returns to Good Morning Britain after explosive exit
Piers Morgan has announced he is returning to Good Morning Britain - nearly four years after he sensationally quit the ITV show after his explosive Meghan Markle comments

Piers Morgan is set for a sensational return to Good Morning Britain. The controversial presenter, who dramatically left his role as anchor on the ITV show in 2021 following a staggering 41,000 complaints to Ofcom over his remarks about Meghan Markle, has confirmed his comeback.
He famously declared that he "didn't believe a word" the Duchess of Sussex said in her candid interview with Oprah Winfrey, where she discussed her mental health issues. Now, nearly four years later, Piers has announced his return to the programme.

Earlier today, he revealed he will be joining Susanna Reid and Ed Balls on Good Morning Britain tomorrow. Sharing the news on X, he wrote: "BREAKING: It's been nearly 4yrs (1,453 days to be precise! ) since I departed âŚ@GMB rather hastily... but tomorrow morning, for the first time, I'm going back. I'll be on with âŚ@susannareid100 and âŚ@edballs at 8.15am."

Fans have flooded Piers' post on the micro-blogging platform with messages expressing their delight at the news. One fan suggested, "They should start with you walking back in with that same suit and then taking one of the seats you used to sit in," Another wished him "Good luck, Piers.", reports the Mirror.
A third admitted, "It was actually better when you were on. Not going to lie. You have to say it," while another stated, "If you're back, I'm watching.

exclaimed another follower, and one fan mentioned, "Haven't watched it once since you left but I will be watching tomorrow in the hope your return might be permanent."
Not everyone was enthralled, as one person replied to his update: "I've watched for 1453 days straight! Thanks for the warning and letting me know I need to put BBC on tomorrow."
Another commented: "Thanks for the warning, I'll be sure not to watch."

Piers, often scrutinised for his outspoken opinions, co-anchored the programme from 2015 until his departure, joining Susanna Reid. The forthright presenter had a notable on-air fallout with GMB colleague Alex Beresford over his reaction to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's chat with Oprah Winfrey.
Despite his remarks triggering Ofcom complaints back in 2021, the watchdog ultimately found that he hadn't violated any broadcasting rules.
Article continues belowPost his exit four years earlier, Piers has occasionally caught up with Susanna, including at a Christmas get-together he hosted last year. He also invited other past associates such as Kate Garraway, Charlotte Hawkins, and Laura Tobin to the December yuletide event.
Furthermore, last year Piers appeared in a Good Morning Britain compilation video celebrating the ITV show's decade milestone since its inception in 2014.
