Pitbull fans share frustration at ticket prices for huge UK shows
'Absolutely not paying that for Pitbull'
Fans attempting to get tickets to see American rapper Pitbull in Manchester have shared their frustration at big virtual queues and expensive prices for seats.
The singer, known affectionally to fan as Mr Worldwide, announced yesterday a number of shows across Europe and the UK - including dates in Dublin, Manchester and London in June. Following his viral show at London's The O2 last weekend, which saw a large number of gig-goers dress up in bald caps in admiration, the announcement sent fans in a frenzy.
The Party After Dark tour will see the iconic rapper and singer visit Dublin's 3Arena on June 5, followed by gigs at Manchester's Co-op Live on June 8 and a return to The O2 on June 9. Both the Manchester and London shows will also feature an appearance from 90s music legend Shaggy.
General sale for tickets will begin online this Friday (February 28) via Ticketmaster and Live Nation, but some fans have been able to get access to early pre-sale opportunities from this morning (February 26) via the likes of Ticketmaster, O2 Priority and The Co-operative.
This means the prices have also been revealed for how much tickets will cost at the shows, which include standard seating, standing and a number of VIP packages which can fetch up to ÂŁ390.20 each. Some fans said they were surprised at the price of tickets, with some claiming the only available options were priced at more than what they paid to see Paul McCartney on tour.

Posting on X this morning, one fan wrote: âGot through for Pitbull tickets, ÂŁ126 for nosebleeds and thatâs not including the fees they add on. Paid ÂŁ110 for Paul McCartney nosebleeds, absolutely not paying that for Pitbull.â
Another said: âPitbull tickets are 80 quid each and you gotta get two of them in the Ticketmaster races. nvm bro.â Another wrote: âOver a ÂŁ100 for Pitbull ticket??? Bro wtfâ. Referring to the London gig, one fan posted: âÂŁ192 for tickets to see Pitbull at the O2???? Mr Worldwide, why.â
Some people even shared their frustration with the pre-sale process via Ticketmaster and the Co-op app claiming they had got to the ticket selection screen before they were taken to an empty loading page. One person asked: âdid anyone else get ****ed over by the co-op app in the pitbull presale?? i got to the end of the queue, it took me back to this page and nothing ever loaded.â
Another person said they had only been given the option to purchase VIP tickets, which were priced at ÂŁ212.95 each. They wrote: âAnyone else wait for Pitbull Co Op presale this morning only to be greeted by ÂŁ200+ VIP tickets?â Another posted: âPitbull I love you but im not about to drop ÂŁ213 on vip tickets.â

A number of people also claimed that they were unable to secure tickets altogether via the Ticketmaster page, with many being greeted by a message which said: âUnfortunately, we couldn't load the interactive seat map'. People said that once they tried to reload the map, they were taken to the beginning of the queue.
One wrote: âI donât want an interactive map, I just want Pitbull tickets. Now have to requeue to see if I can get it to work.â Another said: âTrying to get tickets for Pitbull in Manchester but it wont load, is that happening for anyone else?â One also wrote: âplease fix this. trying for Pitbull tickets but nothing loads.â
However, despite reports of onsite issues, some people were able to secure tickets through the pre-sale this morning. One person loudly proclaimed: âPITBULL TICKETS SECURED HALLELUJAH." Another wrote: "PITBULL STANDING TICKETS SECURED BUT AT WHAT COST." Keeping up the trend of writing in caps, one other said: âGUYS I GOT PITBULL TICKETS.â
Ticketmaster have been approached by the M.E.N for more information. General sale tickets will be available from Friday (February 28) via Ticketmaster and Live Nation.
