This year’s nominees were announced by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) on Tuesday. Winners will be revealed on March 29 at the Juno Awards Gala presented by Music Canada and on March 30 at the Juno Awards Broadcast live from Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

McRae won the 2024 Juno for Artist of the Year and Single of the Year for her hit Greedy, while Ross has enjoyed a string of big singles since releasing his third album, titled Complicated, last March. Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd follow with four nominations each.

Nominees for the induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame include Ajax, ON., pop/punk crew Sum 41, also nominated for two awards, and Celtic/New Age progenitor Loreena McKennitt, nominated for Traditional Roots Album of the Year. Sum 41’s induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame will be showcased with a special final performance by the band during the awards show broadcast on March 30.
