After closing out Coachella weekend one, Post Malone has teased new music.
Last night (April 13), the ‘Sunflower’ singer closed out the first weekend of the Californian festival, which he’ll also headline next weekend alongside Lady Gaga and Green Day. Ahead of the gig, he touched on anxieties he felt before playing at the festival, looking back to his 2018 debut at the Sahara tent.

“I wasn’t as nervous back then,” he told Billboard. “I’m just old now. Everything hurts.” He also told the publication how welcomed he felt by the Nashville community following the release of his 2024 album, F-1 Trillion, saying that when he gets together with friends and fellow artists over there, they “just sit and fucking talk and make songs. And so I’m pretty excited for the new record already.”
Having already made two trips to Nashville for the newly teased project, Malone revealed he has “made probably 35 songs” and it was now “a matter of which one’s rock, and which one’s sock”, adding he would “absolutely not” debut any new material at his two headlining sets.

He’s currently working with scratch vocals, but said the band had cut several songs. “I sit there and listen to these songs, and I usually hate listening to my music but listening to the band play, I get so excited,” he said.
Thanks to the success of previous offering ‘F-1 Trillion’, which saw him collaborate with the likes of Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, and Luke Combs, he’ll be heading out on his first stadium tour this year, the ‘Big Ass World Tour‘, alongside Jelly Roll. Having released an album every year since 2022’s ‘Twelve Carat Toothache’, he teased: “Hopefully, we’ll have some music releasing very, very soon.”
His Coachella set fell the day before Record Store Day 2025, with Posty acting as an ambassador for the event stateside. Before that, he fronted a reunited Nirvana for their SNL 50: The Homecoming concert appearance.
