Princess Diana Would Be "Concerned" About Prince Harry and William's Ongoing Rift
Princess Diana's former lover, James Hewitt, revealed that Diana would likely be worried about Prince Harry and Prince William's ongoing rift with each other, and would try to find a way to repair their relationship.
Princess Diana might not be alive to see Prince William and Prince Harry's estrangement play out, but according to multiple sources, she wouldn't have approved of the brothers' ongoing rift.
One of Diana's former lovers, James Hewitt—whom she had an affair with between 1989 and 1991 while still married to King Charles—was asked about his feelings toward Harry and William's tension during his appearance on Good Morning Britain on February 25.
Host Richard Madeley asked Hewitt, "Any mother would be grief-stricken over the separation we've seen between Harry and Wills. Do you think she would have been able to make a rapprochement possible?”

Hewitt responded, "I think any mother would be worried and concerned about such a rift, as you put it. And she'd do her best to try and get them together."
Hewitt isn't the only person to chime in with an idea of how Diana would feel about Harry and William's fight. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond previously told GB News, per The Mirror, "I think she’d be distraught that the boys are still feuding. But I think somehow she’d have got them together and just sorted it all out."

In fact, Bond isn't surprised that Harry stepped away from the British monarchy, noting that he embodies Diana's own rebellious spirit. "Harry is 'the Spencer' of the two of them. He is fiery, vulnerable, fragile. Very much in the way Diana was," Bond added. "He is complex like Diana was. Likable. Loveable. It is difficult. He’s forging his own way much like his mother did. He is the troubled one of the two."

Diana's former butler Paul Burrell has also spoken out about the brothers' relationship, saying that were the princess here, she would have "sorted" out the matter a long time ago, per OK. “If Diana was here, they would be different because she wouldn’t stand for this nonsense, and she would have sorted it out long before now—but, unfortunately, there’s nobody here that can sort it out.”
