One of the most important days on the royal family’s calendar is Commonwealth Day. It’s a day to celebrate member nations of the Commonwealth for all that they have achieved, individually and together.
A number of festivities take place during a special service for the nations at Westminster Abbey in London. Several royal family members attend the service dressed to impress. But what Queen Camilla wore has fans split on what they thought of it because it was such an “unusual” outfit for her.
Here’s more on that, plus how Camilla paid tribute to her mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth II.

He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.”
He discussed how the color of Queen Camilla’s outfit was an “unusual” choice for her because we’re so used to seeing her in either different shades of blue or neutral colors like white.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Stanton said: “Camilla chose to wear pink which is unusual for her. She normally goes for white which is a more solemn colour. Pink is more of a spiritual color and a color of communication. This shows she is feeling more free and open. It is often worn subconsciously to say, look, I am approachable and I am happy to be here.”
Later in the evening, the king and queen attended a reception at Marlborough House as guests of the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Baroness Scotland. Camilla changed into a royal blue dress an accessorized with an eye-catching sapphire brooch.

Maxwell Stone commented: “Queen Camilla added to the poignant display by donning the stunning Russian Sapphire Cluster Brooch, a regal heirloom passed down through generations. Originally owned by Empress Marie Feodorovna of Russia, the brooch was inherited by Queen Elizabeth after Queen Mary’s passing and later worn by the Queen Mother.
“The brooch features 18 large diamonds surrounding a smaller, detailed gold setting, with a large 8 to 10-carat sapphire stone in the center. One of the most exquisite and valuable royal sapphires, I’d estimate it to be worth $680,000.”
