The game finished 5-0 to Gers, but it has emerged that it wasn't a wasted day for the non-league side.
Tam Cowan, host of BBC Radio Scotland show Off The Ball, revealed that Fraserburgh officials had told him about the lovely gesture extended by one of Rangers' stars after the match.
Cowan said: "My pal, who is the chairman up at Fraserburgh, a chap called Finlay Noble, was obviously with the whole Fraserburgh mob down at Ibrox on Sunday.
"I knew he would be up in the posh seats because he is the chairman, and I said you'll get a great view of the Fraserburgh fans, so send me a picture as I want to see what the turnout is like.
"I knew the whole town would be down there, it was and it was great.
"Not only did he send me that, but he sent me this [message] and I thought it was worth reading out.
"'Tam, Sunday was a brilliant day and one that will live long in the memory of everyone at the club.
"'Cyriel Dessers spoke to our players in the dressing room after the match and told them all they should be proud of their performance and on how they conducted themselves.
