Reason Brentford vs Chelsea is not being shown on TV and date change explained
Chelsea make the short trip across London to face Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday, but the only way that fans can watch the clash live is from the seats of the Gtech Community Stadium
Brentford play host to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League, but the game won't be shown live on TV in the UK.
With 15 wins from 30 games this season, Chelsea go into the clash hoping to secure a Champions League spot for 2025/26 . They're thriving under new boss Enzo Maresca, who took the reins at Stamford Bridge last June. With three wins from their last five Premier League outings - including a 1-0 triumph over Tottenham on Thursday - the Blues will be looking for all three points against the Bees.

In December's reverse fixture between Chelsea and Brentford at Stamford Bridge, the Blues won 2-1 thanks to goals from Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson. Brentford have enjoyed a mixed bag of results this season - with 12 wins, five draws and 13 losses. Thomas Frank's side go into the fixture on the back of a 2-1 loss to Newcastle United at St James' Park on Wednesday.

A highly competitive game is expected to take place when Brentford play host to Chelsea, but football fans won't be able to watch the action unfold unless they've bought a ticket. Here's why...
Brentford vs Chelsea is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday at the Gtech Community Stadium, but Sky Sports has not selected the game for its Super Sunday showing. The two sides were initially set to meet on Saturday, April 5, but the date was changed back in February due to Chelsea's clash with Spurs earlier this week.

Instead, Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League will show Fulham's clash with Liverpool at Craven Cottage, which takes place at the same time. Spurs also play host to Southampton simultaneously - a fixture that will also not be televised.
Elsewhere, Sky Sports will also show Manchester United's 4.30pm clash with Manchester City at Old Trafford. TNT Sports' chosen game of the weekend, meanwhile, is Everton's 12.30pm clash with Arsenal on Saturday. This campaign will be the last where Sunday matches won't get TV coverage, however, with a new broadcasting agreement for 2025/26 ensuring all 2pm kick-offs are shown.
