Arsenal are running out if time if they are to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.
The deadline is just over a week-and-a-half away and the Gunners are still to make a move. There is plenty of talk, though, that Mikel Arteta and co will act in the coming days, with a new striker top of the Spaniard's wishlist.
Bejamin Sesko, who the club were ready to bid for back in the summer, and Matheus Cunha of Wolves have both been linked in recent days, with the latter yet to sign a new contract with his current club.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest transfer news and gossip from in and around The Emirates...
Record Cunha bid incomingArsenal may be keen on Matheus Cunha, but they could miss out on the Brazilian with Nottingham Forest said to be preparing a club-record offer for the forward.
Cunha, 25, is a target for a handful of Wolves' Premier League rivals and Arsenal's interest is well-documented given their desire to strengthen their attacking options.
But Forest are also hoping to sign Cunha this month, with the Wolves star no closer to signing a new contract. And Sky Sports claim Forest are set to try their hand with a club-record bid for Cunha, who has 10 goals to his name so far this term.

Arsenal ARE ready to make a big signing in January - but only if they can land a top target like Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners are show on firepower and Mikel Arteta and co have been urged by fans and pundits to sign a new forward this month with both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus sidelined.
Our man John Cross has the latest: he says Arsenal are willing to splash the cash this month if somebody like Sesko becomes available. It remains to be seen, though, if RB Leipzig will be willing to part with their prize striker midway through the season.
A big offer could tempt them to do business, though - and the indications are that Arsenal are ready to splash out.
Chelsea eye ex-Gunners target Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with Chelsea (Image:

Vlahovic was heavily linked with Arsenal three years ago before putting pen to paper with the Italian giants. And the £66million striker, who is believed to be one of Juventus' top earners, has once again generated interest from the Premier League.
Juventus' interest in Veiga, who joined Chelsea in the summer for £12m, could boost the chances of Vlahovic moving to Stamford Bridge. But it's noted by The Times that Chelsea are demanding £29m for Veiga, which could complicate matters.
