A contract signing on WWE RAW was set to confirm a title match for WWE WrestleMania 41. Instead, the match was seemingly changed in a big way, thanks to Rhea Ripley.
On the March 17th episode of WWE RAW, WWE Womenâs Champion IYO SKY and Bianca Belair came to the ring to sign the contract for their title match at WWE WrestleMania 41. SKY and Belair briefly commented on the match and signed the contract.
Rhea Ripley then interrupted and expressed her frustration after SKY slapped her and Belair on the March 10th episode. Tensions between Ripley and Belair rose. SKY tried to get involved, and she wound up getting hit. Ripley then headbutted Belair and slammed her onto SKY on top of the table. Ripley went on to sign the contract and walk away with it.
Later in the show, Ripley argued with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, who refused to add her to the match. Belair showed up and brawled with Ripley. SKY got involved as well, but Ripley fought them both off.
Belair earned a title shot by winning the Womenâs Elimination Chamber. Sky defeated Ripley to win the WWE Womenâs Championship on the March 3rd episode of WWE RAW.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
