Royal commentator highlights 'major problem' for Meghan Markle: 'She is a pampered princess!'

Royal commentator Pandora Forsyth has highlighted a "major problem" for Meghan Markle's new Netflix show, suggesting it may struggle to attract viewers without royal content.
Speaking on GB News about "With Love, Meghan", Forsyth pointed out the lifestyle series faces a significant challenge.
"With Love, Meghan" premiered on Tuesday as an eight-episode lifestyle series on Netflix.
The show features Markle as host, sharing home styling tips and go-to recipes.

Speaking about the new show on GB News, royal commentator Pandora Forsyth said: "It is certainly not going to be in watershed hours. It's very fluffy, very light-hearted, family-friendly it's what you expect from a lifestyle show.
"There's no juicy bits. But of course, this is Meghan's problem moving forward: without the juicy bits, I don't know if many people are going to watch because they want to hear about the Royal Family and her links to it.

"So that is the problem. And of course, before she joined the royals, this was her bread and butter her lifestyle blog, The Tig.
"That did well because no one knew her as part of the Royal Family then, so everyone turned to her for that. But of course now, she's joined the royal family, and she's not known for her lifestyle brand.
"She's known as Meghan Markle, who joined the Royal Family."
GB News host Martin Daubney said: "Pandora, there has been, how should we put it, a degree of criticism around the fact that Meghan Markle has said that she wants to give lifestyle advice for hard-working mothers.
"She's a pampered princess. She hasn't really worked since she was in Suits."
Forsyth responded: "I have to say, when she was making these comments on the show, I was thinking, this is not going to go down well. I don't know who advised her to say, Oh, you know, working people can definitely come back after a long day.'
"But let's say you're a nurse working in a hospital after a long hospital shift.
"The last thing you're doing is doing bedtime blooms for your guests, if you're lucky enough to have a guest bedroom in your flat or house. I mean, it does sort of beg the question: who is advising Meghan to say this?"

NetflixThe Netflix series represents Markle's latest venture in the lifestyle sector following her rebrand.
She originally launched American Riviera Orchard in March 2024 but rebranded as "As Ever" in February 2025 due to trademark issues.
The show further expands her lifestyle brand following her return to the industry.
Markle has long been interested in the lifestyle sector before her royal connection.
