Despite giving the Critics Choice Awards a miss, Ryan Reynolds didn't entirely disregard the event. It comes amidst his wife Blake Lively's ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni.

With a lot on his plate, including his recent acquisition of another football team - Club Deportivo Seguros La Equidad in Bogotá, Colombia, alongside Wrexham partner Rob McElhenney, Ryan still found time to celebrate his film's success. Deadpool and Wolverine bagged the Best Comedy award, sharing the honour with A Real Pain.

Ryan expressed his appreciation on Instagram, posting the winning poster and writing: "Zoing! Thanks @criticschoice - whole team @deadpoolmovie is thrilled. But wait a minute. Swipe," before sharing an image from A Real Pain, who also clinched the win. "Huge congrats to @arealpainfilm," he added.

Ryan has been keeping busy off-screen too, recently attending the JP Morgan summit with Bob Iger and Bryan Lourd. Sharing snaps from the event, both on and off stage, he wrote: "Had an amazing time on stage at the @jpmorgan summit with Bob Iger and Bryan Lourd. These boys are SHARP. Surprised to discover my mum there," he shared, along with a picture of her. "She wanted to see Iger," reports the Mirror.

Last month saw Ryan's wife Blake, 37, file a lawsuit against Justin, 41, her co-star in It Ends With Us, accusing him of sexual harassment and causing "severe emotional distress". Justin has vehemently denied these allegations.

In January, the actor countersued Blake and her husband, Ryan, 48, for ÂŁ321 million for an apparent attempt to "destroy" his reputation and career. It's since been claimed Blake and Ryan's lawyers have filed a notice to state that they will seek to dismiss Justin's lawsuit.

Meanwhile, at the Critics Choice Awards, it was all go as Chelsea Handler returned to host the star-studded event at The Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California, for the third year running. She didn't miss the opportunity to poke fun at Blake and Justin's ongoing legal drama, saying: "I want to acknowledge that we've been through a lot lately, not just here in Los Angeles, but our entire country, waking up every day not knowing what news we are going to hear that will disappoint or horrify us. Oh, it is important at times like these to have a distraction, and that's why I want to personally extend my gratitude Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively."

She added, "Thank you for providing us with that distraction. I'm grateful. I think we're all grateful. I think we're good. I think everybody in this room, no matter whose side you're on, we can all agree to accept that there's probably not going to be a sequel. It ends with us, guys."

Big winners of the night included Sean Baker's Anora, which bagged Best Picture, and Adrien Brody who scooped Best Actor for his role in The Brutalist.

Demi Moore took home Best Actress for her performance in The Substance, while Kieran Culkin nabbed Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain.
