SZA Is Scaling Back on Social Media Engagement with Fans
The ‘SOS’ hitmaker is reclaiming her peace.

SZA has made the tough decision to scale back her interactions with fans on social media.
In a move to prioritize her peace and professionalism, the “Snooze” hitmaker has chosen to release future content without prior announcements.
Known for sharing personal updates and exclusive music snippets, the Grammy winner had hoped to connect more deeply with her audience.
However, the openness seemed to have backfired, leading to what the TDE songstress calls entitlement and criticism—especially over delays in her releases, which were often beyond her control, like sample clearance issues and natural disasters.
In a series of posts, SZA wrote, “I used to think sharing snippets, personal info + music tea would build connection, but it actually just made ppl entitled ungrateful and disrespectful. It’s time to restore the boundary.”
While many fans rallied to support her, the growing negativity has seemingly pushed the “SOS” singer to reevaluate her approach.
Elsewhere, the singer declared, “No more explanations/updates. No back n forth. All further questions hit punch. Thanks.” The actress cited her manager Punch writing, “U been told me stop sharing snippets and tea .. thought I was on to something. I’m clear now.”
By setting these boundaries, SZA is reminding us all of the importance of protecting one’s energy, even in the face of fame.
