Sam Thompson blames Zara McDermott for split in yet another savage swipe
Sam Thompson has addressed his breakup with Zara McDermott, hinting at her role in their split. During another podcast appearance, he also shared that he's moved on and expressed interest in joining the Love Island villa.
Sam Thompson has taken aim at his ex, Zara McDermott, following their breakup in early 2025.
The couple, who had been together for five years after meeting on Made in Chelsea, faced multiple challenges during their relationship, including a brief separation in 2020 after Zara admitted to infidelity.

Despite their efforts to reconcile, including appearing together on Strictly Come Dancing, they ultimately decided to part ways.

Sam recently appeared on Love Island's The Morning After podcast, where he shared that his sister, Louise Thompson has always had a great relationship with his girlfriends.In the podcast, Sam suggested that Zara was to blame for the breakup.
Speaking to Indiyah Polack, Sam said: âMost of the time when we break up, it's my fault and she'll ask, âWHAT have you done? And Iâm like, âit's not even me!ââ

In another podcast appearance, Sam confidently stated that heâs fully moved on from Zara McDermott.
Sam delved into what itâs like being in Casa Amor, and said: âIâve got a question for both of you, then. Because Iâve never been in the villa.â He then exclaimed: âLike, I would love to!â
Samâs comments came months after rumours of his split from Zara emerged at the very beginning of this year. Following the surprising announcement, an insider close to the former couple opened up about why Zara and Sam broke up, and made it clear that a mixture of issues had been plaguing their relationship for a while.
