The Daily Record's latest Walk of the Week features a beautiful loch-side house that is not as it seems.

The Daily Record is back with a new Walk of the Week, and this one is truly one of a kind.
The Pink House is an abandoned property located next to Loch Glass in the Highlands. Thanks to its unusual bright pink colour, it stands out against the greenery of the surrounding hills.
Also known as Culzie Lodge, the house is situated around 26 miles out of Inverness. It can only be reached via car, followed by an extra 30-minute walk.
Eagle-eyed fans of The Traitors on BBC One may recognise the Pink House. This is because it previously featured in the final challenge of the 2022 season of the competition, when bags of money totalling ÂŁ20,000 were scattered around Loch Glass.
You may think that, due to its gorgeous colour and idyllic setting, Culzie Lodge would be the perfect place to live. However, you may be surprised to learn that the property is completely empty and doesn't even have any inside walls.
The house is believed to have been empty ever since it was built. The reason for this in unconfirmed, but according to locals it is because the builders never actually received planning permission for the project.
While your dreams of living in the Pink House may never come true, it is still well worth seeing. Loch Glass is absolutely breathtaking, and Culzie Lodge is the perfect cherry on top of a magnificent walk.

Your journey to see the Pink House will most likely begin in the small Easter Ross village of Evanton. From here, it is a few miles along Glenglass Road to the car park at Eileanach Lodge, after which you will need to walk the rest of the way.
