The stats show that in Napoli's 2-1 win against Fiorentina on Sunday McTominay did not put a foot wrong, winning the one tackle he was required to make and creating two chances.
The 28-year-old also completed four out of five dribble attempts.
Meanwhile, McTominay also succeeded in his three attempts to play long passes to teammates.
Not only does McTominay make gut-busting runs to hunt down the ball, he has chipped in with six goals and four assists in Serie A this term.
He has also shown variety in his finishing, scoring a goal each with his head and weaker left foot.
He is an important cog in transition allowing the 2022/23 Italian champions to seamlessly change from defence to attack.
Speaking on McTominay earlier this season, Conte said: “He is a complete player, versatile, who can be a trequartista (a creative attacking midfielder) behind the striker, he can be a mezz’ala (on the sides) in a three-man midfield, play in a two-man midfield or even wide in a 5-4-1 with licence to attack.”
Not only that, McTominay has been available and reliable this term having started all but one match in the league.

And in 21 out of 25 matches he played a full 90 minutes.
Conte prior to the weekend’s match did say his new signing ‘had an overload’ but McTominay once again gave an immense display.

“Thank God for giving us SCOTT MCTOMINAY,” one fan posted on social media platform X.
“Manchester United could really do with Scott McTominay in midfield today,” said a Red Devils supporter.
Another Man United fan questioned: “Can we talk about how Manchester United let Scott McTominay go?”
Goals from Romelu Lukaku and Giacomo Raspadori put Conte's side 2-0 up against Fiorentina.
The away side pulled a goal back through Albert Gudmundsson but Napoli held onto their lead to claim the all-important three points.
Conte’s side sit one point behind league leaders Inter Milan, who are aiming to win a consecutive title.

The two teams did clash at the beginning of March but the game ended 1-1 thanks to a Philip Billing equaliser.
Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who were integral players in Napoli’s first league title since 1990 have both left the club but McTominay and Romelu Lukaku have made their absences go unnoticed.
