Scotty McCreery Falls Backward Onstage During Concert: 'Who Put That There?!'
Scotty McCreery fell onstage during a recent concert. The country star came away uninjured, and his bandmates joked that his trip was the best part of the concert.
Scotty McCreery just went on a trip.
During a recent concert, the "You Time" singer stumbled while performing, tripping backward at the end of a song while the crowd gasped. McCreery, 31, got back up easily and went on with his show. "Who put that there?!" he joked after quickly recovering from the fall.
"Stage: 1, Me: 0," McCreery shared over the clip of the minor incident.
After the show, the American Idol alum debriefed about the fall, saying he hadn't done something like that "in a minute." "Right on my wrist," he said, showing where he fell. "Well, if you weren’t hurting before, you are now," one of his bandmates joked.
The clip then cuts to other bandmates being asked what the highlight of that evening's show was. "Scotty falling," one person responded. "Probably [McCreery] falling. Yeah, for sure," another said.
Meanwhile, a third bandmate recounted a recent injury. "I was the last person who had to go to the hospital from falling down so when I saw Scotty do it, I was a little concerned. Glad he didn't hurt himself," he said, before adding: "but it was just a little bit enjoyable."

Scotty McCreery Stops Concert After Seeing Man Allegedly Hit Woman in the Audience: 'Is She OK?'
McCreery has stayed grounded since his American Idol days, which he once called a "pipe dream." In an episode of Country Music Television's 2023 docuseries, CMT Stages, the singer spoke about his career trajectory, as things "became "really crazy coming off" Idol. "I got to Nashville and I had to grow up quick," McCreery said at the time.
"I got started in this business so young. At 17, sitting there at the end of a business table with, you know, 30 executives, and you're having to make all these big decisions. I think I'm better for it now. It taught me a lot — about the business, about who to trust, about all sorts of stuff. I'm thankful for that."
