Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex said she saw a soft side to him when they started dating. Before long, though, darker parts of his personality began to show through his public veneer. She said that things got worse when he began drinking and using drugs. She occasionally feared for her life at these times.
One of Combs’ former girlfriends, who identifies as the pseudonym Nicole, met the mogul in 2020. They began a relationship that lasted four years.
“He wasn’t [this] all-bad person,” she told Rolling Stone. “He was very sweet. We talked about real-life stuff, about my childhood and his childhood.”
She said she struggled with news of Combs’ arrest, but she didn’t find it hard to believe. She also saw frightening sides to him. Nicole said Combs turned “demonic on benders.”

“He would always take it to a point that I was fearful of my life,” she said.
She said that when Combs was partying, she saw the worst sides of him.
“I feel like the devil that would come out of him was during these turn-up times,” Nicole said. “It would be like a switch. We would be having so much fun, and then there’s like a time where he’s just taken it too far drug-wise, that he wants exactly what he wants.”
She felt he was capable of violence.
“He’s never put his hands on me,” Nicole said. “But I knew what he was capable of.”
In the summer of 2024, Nicole saw Combs for the final time. She alleged that he forced her to take two pills, which caused her to black out.
“I was in and out [of consciousness] that night,” she said. “But I do remember I was just like, ‘I’m just gonna say yes so he leaves me alone, and I’m never coming back. I am never coming back after this.’”

She kept her distance after that. On the night before his arrest, however, Combs asked her to visit him in New York. Before she made a decision, news of his arrest broke. She said it came as a shock.
“The person that I was so in love with, that I cared about like family — I’m finding out every single day that this person is a monster,” Nicole said. “I was making up excuses for [him] drugging and [sexually assaulting] me…. I’m finding out that maybe I didn’t know this person and I was just manipulated.”
Another ex-girlfriend of Combs’, Kat Pasion, said he charmed her before she began to see red flags. One night, while watching the documentary Surviving R. Kelly, Combs allegedly told Pasion that “there’s a little bit of R. Kelly in all of us.” Pasion eventually knew she had to come forward with the story of her experience with Combs.
“I’ve decided to speak my truth and take my power back,” she said. “This man is sick.”
