Selena Gomez's Wavy Bob Is as Sweet as Her Little White Dress
Is it spring yet?
Selena Gomez is ready for spring. The Emilia Pérez actor looked like a breath of fresh air on the red carpet at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival: Virtuosos Awards ceremonyùŠ or shall we say a breath of fresh hair? (Sorry, I had to.) Sure, the season doesn't officially start until March 20, but Gomez's soft, wavy bob feels like springtime personified.
Gomez let her natural waves out to play for the event with a sweet, swingy bob by Renato Campora, who frequently works with the star. Gomez's hair was parted in the center and styled in easy, casual waves that began at the arch of her brow and continued downwards in effortless bends with subtly flipped-out ends. The fluffy, soft texture of her waves was the perfect match for her adorable white Magda Butrym minidressĂąÂÂthe LWB (Little Wavy Bob) meets the LWD (Little White Dress), if you will.

The rest of Gomez's Santa Barbara festival look was just as fresh and unfussy as her waves. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo kept the focus on Gomez's skin with a peachy palette on her cheeks and lips, and manicurist Tom Bachik opted for a simple, barely-there nude pink color on her nails. That sheer pink has been a go-to for her lately; she wore a similar shade when she got engaged to producer Benny Blanco, not to mention her Glinda-fied ĂąÂÂPink Whipù nails.
Gomez and her bob have been busy throughout awards season. She's been living the short-haired lifestyle for awhile and has kept us riveted with countless styling options, including the very trendy flippy bob, which she wore to the Academy Museum gala; a shiny, sculptural style; and, of course, the Old Hollywood-inspired pageboy bob she wore to the Golden Globes. The Oscars are just around the corner, so we're already thinking about what Gomez will do with her glam for the big night. Will her bob play a starring role? Will she wear her hair up, or add length with extensions? You know we'll be paying attention.
