A representative of actress Shannen Doherty was "really disappointed" the star was left out of the 2025 Academy Awards "in memoriam" tribute.
The Oscars played a reel featuring stars who have died in the past year, including Gene Hackman, David Lynch and Maggie Smith. Shannen passed away of cancer in July 2024, aged just 53.
Although she is best remembered for her TV roles in the likes of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, Shannen also appeared in films, including Heathers, Mallrats and Swing Shift.
And a longtime representative believes this was enough to warrant Shannen's inclusion in the "in memoriam" at the Oscars on Sunday, held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. They said it was "really disappointing not to see her included in the tribute."

Shannen's fans were also livid as they took to X to share their anger with comments such as, "Shannen must be rolling in her grave" and "She deserves better than that."
Michelle Trachtenberg was also left off the "in memoriam" segment after dying last week at age of 39. One fan wrote online: "Did they really not even include Michelle Trachtenberg in the 'In Memoriam' for tonight’s Oscars??? That’s icky."
Another viewer posted online: "It’s shameful that the #Oscars didn’t include Michelle Trachtenberg in their memorial montage of all the actors/actresses who have passed within the year!!!!"
Trachtenberg gained fame in the 1996 Harriet the Spy film and later appeared n a pair of popular TV shows - Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl.
The New York Police Department said in a statement officers responded to an apartment building in the Hell´s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan. They found the actress "unconscious and unresponsive" amid their response to a 911 call.
Trachtenberg had been pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, authorities said, adding that foul play was not suspected to be a factor in the star's passing.
