Simon Cowell explains new look after admitting 'I'd gone a bit too far'
Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell admitted he hadn't recognised himself and his son Eric had been 'in hysterics'
Simon Cowell is set to grace our screens tonight as he returns to the judging panel of Britain's Got Talent.
The X Factor mogul, 65, has often sparked comments from viewers about his changing appearance over the years.
Simon has been candid about his aesthetic touch-ups following a playful dig from Ant and Dec while promoting a previous series of Britain's Got Talent.
Dec joked to the crowd: "We have a new face joining the judging panel," hinting at Bruno Tonioli joining the show in 2023.

However, Ant humorously retorted: "What? Simon has another new face?"
Although Simon admits to certain enhancements, he firmly denies having undergone plastic surgery.
Known as one of the first male TV personalities to acknowledge using Botox and fillers, he maintains that the speculation around his numerous treatments is overstated.
Simon commented: "I think its hysterical. I mean it just makes me laugh - I haven't had a facelift or anything.
"I have had a bit of Botox or whatever but kind of nothing drastic. So when I hear about this stuff honestly, it does make me laugh.
"Over the years people have said that I've had everything done. But I don't Google myself so I genuinely don't have a clue what everyone is saying about me until we do things like BGT."
The record executive admitted that he once got so much Botox injected into his face that he looked "like something out a horror film."
Simon previously confessed: "There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from 'before' the other day and didn't recognize it as me first of all.
"Eric [Simon's son] was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero."
Simon attributes his transformation to changing his diet. He previously said: "There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other.
"But actually, for me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tons of water."

In 2018, Simon revealed he had a £2,000 treatment, dubbed a 21st-century facelift.
He got a Silhouette Soft Lift, which involves sewing bioplastic-infused thread into the face and neck and tugging it to get rid of sagging skin.
He said at the time: "For me now, it's all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff."
